290X stuttering in SWTOR

Any idea why? Running at 1440p and never had an issue with the old Titan, there's no reason why it can't run SWTOR. Every 15 seconds or so I get a split second jump which is highly annoying.

Are you running gpu-z or anything like that in the background?

No, just MSI Afterburner.

Try running without it, see if it makes a difference. If not try running the game whilst using 'unofficial overclocking mode' in afterburner.
