Hi guys,

I'm desperately trying to get my Benq XL2411T to output 120hz whilst my 2nd monitor (Sony TV) is connected via a DVI to VGA adaptor. It won't have it - the option is there but as soon as I try to apply it jumps back to 1024*768... as soon as I unplug the 2nd monitor I am able to apply it and I can even then see a setting for 144hz :(

This: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/amd-g...hz-second-monitor-not-possible-hd-6850-a.html looks like a similar problem and no resolution was found. Maybe its an AMD thing? Very annoying.

Any ideas?

Dont the two DVI ports share bandwidth? Or is that the DCU2 version of the cards?
Basically if both are used the dual link DVI effectively becomes a single link hence no 120hz output.

I think you might be on to something there... is there a workaround :D

I couldn't get my 6970 to output one monitor at 60Hz and one at 120Hz either. I wasn't that fussed but think it is a 6 series thing. Maybe newer cards work?

I was connected via 2x D-Dvi

6950>70 CrossFire worked fine with 120Hz via DL-DVI on my monitor with 60Hz through HDMI on the TV.

Use HDMI with your Sony TV if possible instead, then both outputs are digital, I'm guessing it's possibly not working using a digital/analogue combination.

On my monitor D-dvi it limited 100hz when TV also connected by Hdmi.

Change your D-DVI cable to a DL-DVI cable-120 Hz needs Dual Link DVI.;)

Okay, I tried an HDMI cable and I get no output or any detection for that matter? Am I doing something wrong :(
