2014 Golf R Lease Deal

If the comment was in no way supposed to criticise it being a Golf you could just have easily said '£8k to borrow someone elses car' if you genuinely just meant it wasn't a great lease deal, without any implication that the fact it's a Golf makes it a poor deal.

If I'm not allowed to call it a Golf, what should I call it? :p

It wasn't what it is, it's how you made the point that comes across as you saying "no way would I spent £8.5k over two years on a Golf", dismissing the fact it's the 300bhp variant. Even if you weren't, that's how it came across.

It is the fact it is a Golf that makes it a poor deal though. 8k to borrow somebody else's Porsche 911 would be pretty sweet, for example.

The car is the decider of whether its a good deal or not, surely? I wouldn't want to rent a Golf for however much a year it works out at. Therefore my comment reflects that.

It's not even an antiVW thing. Looking at some of the quotes people ended up with on the 135 by the time they added any spec left me with exactly the same view. Just not special enough to warrant that much cash in the bin, sorry.

Am probably going for one of these, just for the fact I fancy something new for a change and I like them.

Yeah it's renting a Golf for a few years, but to be honest there's no real financial sense or reasoning behind this other than I kind of want one ;)

Works put cheaper than a GTi on my company scheme and not much more than a GTD, both of which I had been looking at.

I was ready to order with Blue Chilli, accept the chap messed up and quoted me the wrong thing 3 times in a row so they went from being the best price to £25 a month more than Gateway2Lease.

Had nothing but bother with lease companies trying to get accurate quotes as they always seem to miss something out, still thinking whether to bother or not as really don't seem to be doing any driving at the moment!

Might just keep the old A3, stick the factory sat nav in it and enjoy it. Or I'll change my mind next week again and go for this, or something else, who knows! Hate not really having a budget, or any exacting requirements lol.

Sounds like you've got absolutely no idea what you actually want...

Good to know I'm not alone! :D

Yup, I guess I should be at least a bit pleased there's nothing in particular I have to have, but doesn't make it easy!
