FAO Fox: Buying a E39 530i Sport

, although it's got an Alcantara interior rather than leather, but I can't see that causing the price difference from other 530s around.

I would think the opposite, surely 99% of people wouldn't even view a 530 without leather, especially now that they are at the age that they are as the crowd that now wants them will most certainly want "leathers".

You and I know (as Tesla mentions) that a leather interior is easily sourced from ebay and fitted in your driveway, but most people wouldnt even think to do that.

Not that difficult if you don't want the memory function.

Good good. Not bothered about mem function tbh.

Edit/ In over a year I haven't been able to source a set of OE Sport bumpers that aren't priced at lol money relative to their condition. As such I'm looking at upgrading my Comforts as Sport seats are far more plentiful.

Either that or an Andrive unit, but again, I'll need to do the man maths to justify the cost of the Andrive.

Mike, your car is Titan Silver right?

I'll be breaking my Titan silver sport in a couple of months once it's a bit warmer and I have more free time. Couple of marks on each bumper but no cracks or damage.

Wouldn't bother with Andrive personally.

Yep T silver. I'll absolutely take the bumpers, mouldings and undertray off you when you break her. Please keep me posted. ;)

If you can live with the colour scheme and the mileage this Individual is a well specced example. Personally I really like it.
I did spot that one, I think it was mentioned on the BMW5 forum, yeah the leather is a little strong for some, but if it's a good car, I'd have bought it.

However I've now joined the E39 club! :D
Bought a lovely condition 530 Auto, Cosmos black, black leather, auto, 60,000 miles, had lots spent on it to fix things like bushes, dampers, etc. It drove really well on the test drive (Unlike the previous car I drove that day which shook like crazy around 70mph). In general it just seemed a well cared for example in great condition. It was definitely worth being patient with my search. Very happy.

Thanks for your input guys, it really helped.

Cheers, I'm very pleased with it so far. It's had fairly light use all it's life looking at the MOT history.
I'll post some pics when I've sorted them out, they're only off my phone so nothing great.
Yep on BMW5 with the same username, although I've not posted that much on there yet. Some great info on there though. Looks to be very useful.

Thanks. I think it's got a pretty good spec overall, elec memory seats, elec sunroof, climate, auto wipers, CD changer, 17" alloys, black leather with Vavona wood (I believe it was originally delivered with silver trim though).
