Just got attacked in a field by the local scum

....Whilst out walking the dog. There were eight of them. Managed to smack one in the face which forced the others to back off. Situation calmed to threats both ways. Thing is I know they must be local but can't recognize them so there is nothing I can do.

Yeah. Blinking dog was a hinderence. It was trying to get fuss of them. Lol like the gif. More like skating on ice with my trainers on as only intended to stick to the paths.

Edit: In retrospect I had better report it in case there is a "round two". It will put me in a better light concerning recriminations from the police (with the way things are these days).

No. Just to make a very little and frustrating point about how there is nothing anybody can do in a situation like this. I hope it never happens to you.
 
Of course you should report it, people can't go around attacking others. I was assaulted last week and it was very minor but I too will press charges due to the circumstances surrounding it.
 
Tool up and go hunting. Beat the crap out of one maybe hospitalize him ?

They wont have weapons so just go baseball bat happy.

You can do that.

Teach them a life lesson

I have admitted to defending myself amongst a group of 8 youths intent on causing me trouble whilst out minding my own business. That will get me in to a lot of trouble I'm sure ?

I'm sorry that is not the intent. If I was cool I would perhaps emulate my father who was a ABA heavyweight boxing champ or my uncle who set up the cujo/chujo karate association etc. No it's not cool. It's very scary really and it was dark which doesn't help.
