Is custom air cooling enough for the R9 290X?

Is your 780ti faster than my 290?

I have no idea really, seems you have a very nice card indeed, however i cant really compare as the only bench i have seen of yours is the 3dmark 11 , you score a Gpu score of 18515 Vs my gpu score of 18838 (http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7871710) , however you are running on i platform i can only dream of owning. I'd love to run my 780ti in that rig at 5.2 :D

PS: I spank you in heaven and valley :p

I Guess [H] missed that? that reviewer is full of useless noobs these days.

Bottom line. Don't Buy Asus, at least not until they fix it.

I don't think the cooler is to blame, if you check TPU's cooler shots, the 780ti core contact gets cooled by the same number of heatpipes as the 290X core contact-it's the same heatsink.

Asus has skimped out using lesser parts than the reference model, that's where it's possibly failing, not to mention it might have been a poor sample.:)

I did read Gibbo's comment, its put me off Asus GPU's TBH.

I want to see some reviews of the MSI Gaming and Powercolor cards.
