I don't believe the actual celebrities were in on it, however someone close to them I do. E.g Harrison Ford, his cleaner if he has one, wife etc to plant the orange, the correct card however is the main part.
 
So ended up watching this and thoroughly enjoyed the show, this is what I like seeing david blaine do, not entertained by the endurance tests he was doing for a while there, also a big fan of derren browns material.
 
Not sure if on-topic, but is David Blaine connected to the TV show "Jackass" at all? Back in my student days (2002), one of my flatmates played around 6 Jackass episodes back-to-back, followed by one of David Blaine's shows. From what I could see, it was on the same DVD. The stunts that I saw involved him standing on top of a column for 24 hours then jumping off into a stack of empty boxes for a soft landing. Another stunt saw him enclosed in a cage hanging from a tree and he had to survive x number of days in there. There were IRL trolls banging drums around him while he was trying to sleep at night.
 
I rather not google it, the best part about magic is not knowing how it is done.

I am watching it now and i have my hands on my mouth the whole way through.

Can you link to the explanation you've seen, as the ones I googled all looked to be more towards the side of the arm such that they could use the fake skin glue and fold their skin over. Whereas DB seemed to do it in the very centre of his arm.
