Got Tickets to see TopGear :D

After 7 years of being on the waiting list I have finally received 2 tickets to go see TopGear live filming this Wednesday!

Now I know its still not a guarantee to get in and its first come first in as such. So bearing in mind on the ticket it says doors open 13:30.. what time do think is would be smart to get there?

Where is this list? may just sign up now for the sake of it, although yeah its mostly standing around looking at some cars, listening to some jokes and banter and watching the studio parts of the show

That's not a shocker. It's like improv comedy. The start and end points are scripted, how they get there is made up.

A friend has been multiple times over the years and he says the scripted-ness of the jokes has increased to the point where it is cringe-y in the studio.

Get there early

I managed to get to the recording of an episode with VIP access in 2011 through work, it was the one with Alice Cooper as the special guest.

Don't be offended if they ask you to move out of the way so they can place good looking women there instead. We all got warned at the start of the recording by a producer.

To be fair, we was there all day. But the actual filming only lasted about 3 hours.

If its still the same format, they will have a break half way through and they will open the hanger doors so the audience can chill outside. One of the presenters will come out to have a chat with the crowd.

I also agree with the comments about the scripted jokes, but just enjoy the day

Really really early. Put it this way. I got tickets, got there at about 11:45 and didn't get in.
Too many VIPs on the day or something. Still, managed to get tickets for a couple of weeks later and although long, it was a good day.

I wasn't looking for them, the majorette troupe my girlfriend teaches are going to be on BGT and I saw the Top Gear tickets at the same time!
