Hey. My current set up is:
CPU - Intel I7 4770k (Quad Core @ 3.5 Ghz)
Motherboard - Gigabyte Z87-HD3
RAM - 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1866 Mhz
PSU - 750w 80+ Bronze Efficiency.
HDD - 1TB Western Digital
SSD - 128GB Corsair Force Series GS
Graphics Card - XFX Radeon HD6870 DD XXX Edition
Monitor - 23.6" AOC 1920x1080.

I'm looking at changing my GFX, as this one is far too slow for my liking.
The 2 I'm stuck between choosing, are these:

and

It will be used for high end gaming, no software editing of any sorts.
Also, looking at a RAM upgrade, possibly to these:
removed

Any advice on my selections?
Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

Please remove the competitor links and re-check the FAQ regards these.

You need to remove the competitor links as it is against the rules :)

Your current RAM is fine so no need to change that. As for the gpu I would go for a 290 or 780 for a single monitor at 1080P

To be clear: are you choosing between a 4gb 770 and a 780ti Classified? Those are very different cards...

Don't bother with the RAM upgrade - you won't notice any difference.

Sorry for the links, my mistake.
Games like Rome 2, Crysis 3, COD Ghosts, etc.
I'm aware they are very different cards, but I don't want to buy twice, so would like to know if buying the 780ti would be a wiser choice meaning I have more time before I would need to upgrade again?

I would go for a 290X over a 780ti. Pretty much the same performance for less. Also for the extra VRAM.

Thank you for the advice. Most reviews I'm reading though, say the 780ti outperforms the 290x, and at much less heat too. Is this correct? And will I need the extra VRAM? I don't know too much about it tbh. Except most games require 1-2gb at the current time on average.

I'd go for 780ti (imo though), bit of an nvidia fanboy but I can completely understand why you'd go for the 290X - however go for the normal 290, the 290X costs like £100 and gives around a 5%-15% performance increase, not worth it.

I've had my fair share of AMD cards, it may just be me, but I don't get on with them very much, don't know why. If i ran a 2nd monitor, would the 780 ti be enough to split screen?

I would go for one of these if it was my money. Keep the money saved for something else :)

May I ask what is the difference between the one you linked and this one?

Besides the huge price gap. I mean, performance wise.

You mentioned 2 monitors? If you'll only be gaming on one then the 780ti is overkill for a single 1080p, the 780/290 is a more reasonable choice. Even the 270Xs can pump out ultra settings.

I have now ordered these:

And

Hoping to Watercool and OC in the near future, then onto multi monitors :)

See if you can change the order and get this psu instead. That Corsair is not the best to be honest. I don't think you would need 750W for a single 780ti but it gives you a bit of headroom for overclocking etc.
