Ive recently had my head turned, and am seriously considering buying a 2007-2008 model.
But i have a big concern, in that my drive is a little steep with a slight bump. I couldnt get a previous car up and i would like to hear from any owners who could speak of their experience with steep drives, speed bumps etc.

Thanks Steve

Reverse might mean draggin the front end across the road:(. Youve not had any awful scrapping incidents then?
I dont think its just the ride height, its how far the front end extends from the front wheels.

Test drive one from a local dealer and see what happens.
Take pics of the driveway. Can't you smooth it out or something?

A test drive is probably what I'll have to do, I am just hesitant to say " can I take your £30,000 car to my house to see if the front end scrapes when I go up my drive:)"

I was hoping to avoid re-doing the drive as it's conrete slab and would take a lot of breaking up. The area that is main problem is where the drive meets the footpath, which without going through the council I can't touch. If its going to be a lot work and expense, then I may have to forget about an XKR and get a more sensible M3.

I can't take pics as I work away from home in the week, I was tryin to think of ways of accurately measureing/mapping the shape of the drive, but I can't think of an easy way of doing it.

Thanks for your replies

To be fair my Dad did that with a 2010 XK. I think he said to the dealer he wanted to check it 'fit on his drive'.

Rotty, step up.

I'll PM him for you.

been on my jollies :p

I don't really have any trouble with speed humps etc, it does sit quite low but not as low as the Cayman I had before

not sure about the drive issue though, as said the front overhang forward of the wheels is quite significant
