as per thread title I'm thinking of selling my 690 and buying a 780 ti, I love my 3d vision so def staying with nvidia. Would this upgrade be a good one? I'm looking for better 3d vision performance more than anything as the 690 sometimes struggles a bit with everything maxed and 3dmode on. Also if I do switch to a 780 ti which version is the best?
Thanks

Going from a GTX 690 to a GTX 780ti is a small downgrade. The GTX 690 is still NVidia's fastest card. If you want to upgrade with a noticable difference, the minimum you should consider is GTX 780s in SLI.

Is a 690 faster than a titan? stock for stock?

whats the rest of your spec and what game are we talking about here?

My system specs is not an easy one to answer.:D

I use both Titans and GTX 690s and on average at stock the GTX 690s are about 20% faster than stock Titans. This is in benchmarks and games.

When it comes to overclocking both the Titans and GTX 690s have about the same potential so the difference remains at about 20%

Thanks guys,I think I'll wait then its just because I recently tried Tomb raider on ultra which runs great until I turn 3d vision on, then it gets all choppy and I have to turn settings down to make it playable. Shame as its really good in 3d

I've had a 780ti and a 690 in my machine recently. The 690 is definitely the faster card.

Ah, only reason I ask is because I have a 780 atm, and my new 2560x1440 ips monitor arrived and I want to have smooth game play, thought a 690 or titan would be better. Can get a straight swap for a 690 for my 780.
