Got Tickets to see TopGear :D

Expect to freeze your nuts off given how chilly it is at the moment. The hanger doesn't get warm despite the studio lights. Also wear comfortable footwear you're happy to stand around all day in.

As has been said, they usually have a tea and biscuits break half way through where you get crisps, tea/coffee and biscuits supplied by them for free and the chance to have a quick chat with the presenters/get signings.

It's a good bit of fun though, even with the same old jokes and scripting that goes on. If you're lucky they won't need to redo jokes etc. more than a couple of times.

The time I went was when the star was Jay Leno and unfortunately his segment was filmed at a different time so we actually missed out on seeing that which was a shame, but also meant that the day wasn't super long.

It's also worth bearing in mind you may not actually see much at all and have to watch the monitors.

Don't be offended if they ask you to move out of the way so they can place good looking women there instead. We all got warned at the start of the recording by a producer.
Now I definitely don't want to go, imagine being sent to the back :o the horror!

Hasn't Top Gear been massively scripted for a long time now? That's nothing new, I'm sure it'll still be a fun day. So come on and tell, if you could pick which presenter you got to have a chat with which one would it be? I think for me it'd be James May.

Nice one!

I have a challenge. Do you think you could get the presenters to hold a sign saying "I Love OcUK" :p

Most of the people saying "unlucky" or whatever are probably the ones that end up watching Top Gear anyway and complaining about it too....

Have fun.

I got some a few years back but work wouldn't let me have the time off to go see them. :(

Have fun.

Such a shame that we won't even get to see your face for a second when it's screened. :p

It can happen :p

I spotted my friend when an episode was aired before

And yes, he was a male, and yes he was stood at the back :D

Was only for a split second though whilst the camera panned, but a split second is better than no seconds :)

If you make me an A4 sign I can print today, I'll take it with me and see what I can do ;)

:p Yes more then likely!, But at 6ft4 I think I've got a good chance of getting my forehead on tv :D

I can imagine how that would go down...

Hamster: "One of our guests [close up on CSR face] wanted us to hold up a sign plugging some company... geek group or something. How could we turn down an offer like that?! So... here you go..."

Clarkson: [Holds up sign "I love C oCK"] [Split screen to sign and CSR face]

May: Admittedly our guest isn't the brightest spark and has atrocious spelling...

true!

it is getting worse though...! would not want to go see it although i always watch it.

What do you mean by you have tickets but not guaranteed a spot to get in?

Surely that defeats the whole point of a ticket!

Like most of these things.. Lets say they have 1000 Seats. If they gave out 1000 tickets, and 50 people dont show, then they've got spare seats.

So they give out 1250 tickets instead expecting people not to turn up.. but sometimes too many people do and some won't get in.

The joys of Free tickets.
