Definite red that, same as Rafael against Chelsea

No one is saying otherwise:confused: but unlike Rafael who didnt get caught...Flamini did the silly fool:(.

Sad to see that there are still complete morons out there that throw things at players on the pitch, these clowns should be found out and banned for life. *******.

As for Traore, he might have a CL medal but who remembers the horrific own goal against Burnley? Classic!

Strikers wish they could score that goal.

You're a harsh ****er sometimes. I didn't think from a defensive point of view you could have any complaints from any of our back 4. Everton got into a fair few half decent positions and the back 4 stood up to everything. Going forward Cissokho was abysmal though but I bet you never thought you'd be calling for Enrique to come back.

Liverpool showed us how to counter against a back for that has been decimated by injury and up to tonight have been the second best defence in the premiership.

Everton need forwards desperately and as has been pointed out playing blatantly unfit players against a strong Liverpool team is stupid... but I dont see what real choice Martinez had to be honest!

When thinking about loan players, I think that this might just show what we have in store for us if we dont sign some of the top class players that we have on loan.

As for that poor excuse of a striker Naismith, I can only apologize to any team that have had him on their pitch, he should be playing against the like of Stevenage fill time!

Stelly

I said the test would come when Martinez didn't have the first choice defenders or had to rebuild a defence. I think with the players we have out the wheels will come off now after being so soundly beaten. We are playing for 7th and for all the talk of Moyes holding us back and Martinez being a god, that's lower than we finished last season due to Liverpool being a bit ****.

Now they are playing much better they will dump us down a place. Spurs are above us and they have changed manager. We better get used to life without Lukaku.

I saw an arsenal fan asking whether it was a red or not as he couldn't see, the gif allows him to make up his mind?

Oh you mean Killswitch?? yep he did say he didnt see it but then later retracted it when i and someone else said it was a definite red.

Wouldnt surprise me if he is banned for the Liverpool game, what is it now?? 3 match ban for reds??. Tbh him and Arteta were absolutely terrible tonight in their defensive midfield roles, i know Arteta has just come back from an injury but sheesh he was bad and same goes for Flamini. Luckily we held on for a point otherwise we were more or less going to lose that game tonight.

Bitterly disappointed at how genuinely rubbish we looked in the first half, second half we were better but Soton could have and should have beaten us tonight.

To your defense, we can tear most full strength defenses apart on the break. The movement of Suarez creates so many opportunities for Sterling and Sturridge to run in behind and when you've got Gerrard and Coutinho supplying them, there's not much you can do to defend against it.
Will flamini miss the liverpool league game?

Yep. I read that Ramsey's out for another 4-6 weeks too. Arsenal are suddenly looking very short in CM with a very tough run of games coming up.

But Agger, Johnson, Sakho, Enrique are all missing from our defense.

Also Lucas and Allen were injured.

So when it comes to players missing, especially defenders I'd say we were either worse of or at least equal to your squad.

16 wins and 2 draws from our last 18 games! Best form in Europe apparently. Just a shame Orient and Wolves aren't dropping points.

Yep a huge blow to us and things are going to get a bit scary after the Palace game on Sunday. We should get 3 pts from that game but Palace have managed to get some form so wouldnt surprise me if we end up drawing that game.

Ridiculous challenge tbh. :p

At least Arteta is back, not really convinced by a midfield pairing of Arteta and Flamini, should be one or the other. We really struggled to create anything today and a more dynamic midfielder would've helped.

The difference is you had suarez to run our defence to pieces we had nothing. We might regret letting Jelavic go now.

Shocking performance last night, lucky to get a point really. Southampton were better than us all over the pitch. We need to be winning these sort of games as there is no way we won't drop points in feb.

Is there some sort of new tactic going round to get people sent off?

Start a fight then gay it up!!!!!

Johnson with Remy then even worse was the Bradford/Preston game. Preston player gets up shoves Bradford player in the face snapping his head back, Bradford player pushes him back in the chest and then the Preston player goes down clutching his face.

So sad that the blatant cheating and wimpiness go to all levels of the game now, footballers really are a disgrace.

Slightly different topic is the Milwall fans staying classy and hurling a bottle at the Sheff Wed players.

I've not seen anything of the match last night. Can anyone fill me in (not like that you dirty ****ers!)

Just saw the Flamini gif :D I hope the southampton player got booked for diving. Disgusting play acting

Marvellous start to the new era, Sammy and Shola will steer us Too success

I actually thought Sammy was our best player in the first half. Second half you could tell he hasn't played football since September/October and was puffing a bit.

Hope we give him a chance to be honest, he brings a different element to our game that we've been missing. A pacey winger who can deliver balls from the wings with his left foot.

I still never understand the logic in bringing Shola on ever. He's so static, first half we were zipping the ball around, playing some lovely football, he can't keep up with the pace of it.
