I'm a bit out of touch with building having not attempted much since 2007/8.

I'm looking to build a gaming machine that'll stream comfortably at 720 or higher and record gaming without huge hits to the actual gaming performance.

So far I have a 1TB Seagate and a 250GB Samsung SSD. I want to watercool the CPU so the Corsair H100i seems a good bet. I will be overclocking the CPU

16GB of system memory (to help with video editing as I understand 8 is adequate for gaming).
Corsair Vengeance Series C70 is my case of choice (at this stage).
Intel Core i7 4770K Socket 1150, 3.50GHz, 8MB, Haswell

Now which motherboard and graphics card combination would suit this lot? Budget for both is £500. I'm currently leaning towards Nvidia because of Shadowplay and a personal history of not having fun with Radeon drivers but then Mantle and bung per buck come into play I guess.

Help please!

(oh and a psu might be an idea, keep forgetting  I'll need power)

This screams AMD FX 8320 to me.

I'll be honest I've had a good look at what some of the more well known streamers use, mostly way out of my price bracket, without seeing much in the way of an AMD presence. I'm not averse to AMD but the I7 seems the popular choice and I assume it's with good reason.
I'm still kneck deep in tech/user reviews and my brain is hurting

For rendering for example video for streaming the AMD CPU's do have an advantage but it really depends on your preferences.

My Phenom II X6 1090T is pretty old but I can stream @ 720p quite comfortably.
