I'm trying to build a budget build gaming pc for around £550 (+/- £30)

I've built what I think is pretty decent to my knowledge but I'm no expect when it comes to affordability to power.

I'm happy with everything but the motherboard, I'm not sure if its the best I could get for the price cause I literally have no idea when it comes to motherboards.

Any recommendations would be highly appreciated. Cheaper builds will also be much appreciated cause of a very tight budget.

Gigabyte H87-HD3 Intel H87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
Intel Core i5-4570 3.20GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail
EVGA GeForce GTX 660 FTW ACX 2048MB
EVGA 500W 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply
Corsair Vengeance Blue Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Cooler Master CM-690 II Advanced USB3.0 Dominator Case - Black
Cooler Master 12cm Sickleflow Blue LED System Case Fan

PS: Yeah I know its lacking a HDD. I already have 2 in my current pc so I'm just going to transfer them.

PSS: First post. If this is in the wrong thread feel free to move it.

I think for this budget you would be better for a AMD build as it is more bank for buck plus get a cheaper case so you can fit more powerful components.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X WindForce 3X OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with BattleField 4 PC Game Included £161.99
1 x AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £119.99
1 x Gigabyte 970A-UD3P AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £71.99
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £59.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01) £55.99
1 x BitFenix Shadow Tower Case - Midnight Black £54.98
1 x Raijintek EreBoss High Performance CPU Cooler £26.99
Total : £561.52 (includes shipping : £8.00).

This PC will also be able to overclock giving more performance.

Change it too a AMD build, with a 270x which is faster then the 660, and closer to the 760, for cheaper.

Also switched up a few other things, like this case more the the CM-690 and the ram has a night blue glow.

Thanks for the replys! Also I'd like to note that I don't intend to overclock.

Re: PSU's. You can't go too wrong with the EVGA or SuperFlower bronzes, but if you go with EVGA, make it a 600w version. There is a significant difference between the 500 and 600 (ripple suppression/noise etc). I bought two 600B's in back in December and have been very happy with them. At £33 each on sale (and ex-VAT) they were an absolute steal. :)

Talking 80+Gold, the SuperFlower 550w that Extreme listed is about your best bet, if budget will cover it.
