Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [1st - 4th February 2014]

This is half our problem. Top teams don't lose to crap teams because they were a little lucky. You need luck on your side when you are not playing well occasionally. If you need luck to beat Stoke then you are in trouble.

Moyes is always saying how unlucky we are when we should be pasting the teams by a few goals so a little bad luck won't matter.

This is just a sad state of affairs at the moment. If he doesn't have a massive improvement he has to go. Why on earth was Young playing? Why did Welbeck come on? Why is Cleverley still playing for us?

i know how all you guys feel, another night not watching MOD

They'll surely give him until at least the first few games of next season.

It shows how low his bar is tbh, Ferguson would probably be throwing boots at players after a performance like that.

Maybe he doesn't want to publicly berate them? We don't know what goes in behind closed doors.

I see Zaha set one up for Cardiff today, clearly showing why we didn't play him at all.

Gibson scored a screamer when you let him go to. Do you want him back?

Quite clearly something has gone on behind the scenes at United with Zaha, they wouldn't be letting him go so soon on loan without it, especially with no real playing time. I doubt we will hear what really happened and certainly not why they might be trying to recoup some money.

Can anyone confirm if this is a real post match quote?

Moyes: "It was our downfall we didn't score from chances, but must have got to byline eight, nine times."

I want to laugh but something tells me it's so stupid it's just made up to take the mickey?

He should be an American Football coach. If he gets to the byline 8 or 9 times he's laughing.

I think so, but he doesn't deserve it.

I dunno. We've been without RVP for quite a while. Think back to last season, he rescued us a number of times.

Not to mention Scholes retired again, remember how **** we were when he retired the first time?

Moyes may not end up being the right man for the job but I think he will have a fairly decent case to back his cause, in the short term at least.

Scoring was never Gibson's problem. But when Solskjaer is saying: "Zaha came on and made the difference.

"He has pace, power and great technique. We have just got to teach him defending."

Then you wonder why exactly we're wasting £15m on a player we have no intention of playing.

I agree, but something must have happened. Even if it wasn't moyes daughter they clearly have issue with some part of his attitude. If so then he has to go. Lets be honest if it was Moyes daughter he's lucky to have stayed this long. Under Fergie if it was a member of his family and was bragging about it he would have no face left.

Fergie let far better players than Zaha go because of attitude issues or if he thought they would cause trouble for others. I can only see Zaha has done something to ruin his chance because I'm sure he would have got more game time otherwise. Giving him to Ole was maybe his chance to prove himself worthy of a return?

I have not seen any evidence that suggests he is the right man for the Man Utd job. Poor tactics, poor team selection, poor signing in Fellaini, lack of signings, apparently poor training methods/injury management, poor results, poor comments in interviews, no CL experience, no trophies........
