can anyone tell me if these cards are any good Inno3D GeForce GTX 770 iChill HerculeZ X3 Ultra 4096MB as ive never heard of them, im building my first system and just dont know what to get, ive a corsair rm850 and was thinking the gtx 770 with the plan to sli down the line but someone has said that the msi gtx 780 or amd r9 290 is a good card to get, but im building a white and blue system and think the msi might look out of place im so confused.com over what to get.:(

what about the Inno3D GeForce GTX 780 iChill HerculeZ X3 Ultra , or will i be able to overclock the gtx 770 abit to get a little more out of it and as i said i hope to sli down the road.

Stick with something that has a good rep. I am not taking anything away from inno but I know little about them. For me, EVGA/Gigabyte/MSI are the one's to look at. All 3 have great warranties and great feedback :)

I wouldn't jump on a 770 either and 780/290 is your best bet.

I've got that Inno3D 780 and it's a beast of a card. You won't be disappointed with the performance. If you plan on going SLI in the future, make sure you have enough space for two of them: it is a three-slot card.

The MSI 780 Gaming may have red on the fan shroud, but you won't see that when it is in your case.

Don't bother with a 4gb 770.

ok thanks everyone ive got some thinking to do, so maybe inno3d 780 or the msi 780 or msi r9 290, the only thing that bothers me with amd is all the problems with the likes of bf4 and mantle, it all just seems up in the air at the moment and as im getting the i7 4770k i prob wont see much performance, maybe 5 or 10% if im lucky plus nvidia seem to be more stable with drivers, i may be wrong here though, and im only going by what i read from forums and utube .

Never feel you have to justify bud. If you want a 780, go for it :) They are great cards and a good price, seeing as they were over £500 at launch.

I can't check at the moment, unfortunately, as my PSU is on its way back to the manufacturer for repairs. I'd say temps are probably lower at a given fan speed than any other 780 - which would hardly be surprising given the sheer size of the heatsink on this thing. I really can't overstate how big it is.

There are quieter coolers out there, but it isn't loud by any stretch of the imagination. It is quieter than the reference model I had.

The build quality is excellent, and it comes with a backplate which is always nice.

whats another gtx 780 that is quiet and has a good cooler, i looked at a review and in a benchmark it was only 300 points less than a titan, its just i have never heard of it until i saw it on overclockers, i was thinking the evga sc with titan cooler but not sure on noise level its just ive heard they have a good rma if anything was to happen.

depends on budget tbh , if you cant get 780 get 770 , i got 770 msi gamer oc 4 gig for cheap price new + sold games worked out 240 £ for card , but as people say mostly you will not use more then 2 gig video memory, depends on resolution .

i would say cheapest 770 gtx with custom cooling will do the job.

edit : 770 overclock pretty good so will give you some boost as well my memory can do 8040 stable decided to stick with 8000

did you get your card from OCuk ,i was looking at a ultra wide monitor, and was goner get a 4gb card as future proof for games, i just dont know what to get or do at the moment plus i cant believe the cards are one price one minute then they go up for a few weeks then down, anyway ive got a little while to decide as my case dont come in until next or week after.

There's no real point in getting a 4gb 770. The extra VRAM will only matter at higher resolutions (1440p and up), and given the price you're much better off getting a 290 or a 780 - or a 280X, which has 3gb VRAM for the price of a 2gb 770.

If you can afford a 290 or a 780, get one of them. If you can't, get a 280X.

EDIT: The Titan cooler you mentioned is just the reference cooler. For a reference cooler it is very good, but any of the custom ones will be quieter and more effective.

4gb 770 is a total waste of time unless you are going to use 3 or 4 of them @5760 x 1080.
