steam cleaning car interior?

On another subject....

...if you want to get creases out of suits lock them in a shower room with the shower at full heat and running. I **** you not, it works.

...now, back to this catastrophe in the making :)

Similar to other responses - I have used our carpet cleaner using the Autoglm Interior shampoo for spot cleaning. Worked very well and really refreshed an old car interior - only hurdle is it takes quite a while to dry, as I did it in the winter I used a dehumidifier to dry the car out afterwards, which worked quite well!

Doesn't that ammo detailing guy use steam on interior stuff though?

I've used our karcher steamer to clean the seats on my sisters Golf. They were cloth seats and the results were superb. They looked brand new afterwards!

Do you mean a steam cleaner as in one of them things that have actual steam coming from them or do you mean like a pressure washer? (Some people call a pressure washer a steam cleaner)

Cleaned the interior of the car today with great results

Why bother with dash cleaner? With the power of steam

Main reason for me would be to not get moisture in the climate or audio controls or sensors for the climate. Second reason would be to make sure I didn't introduce moisture that would then condense on the glass overnight.

Just don't put the steam on full power should be fine

Steam cleaned the cab of a truck a few years back, the seats came up superb, the radio and dashboard lights died soon after, plus it constantly misted up, rain or shine.

I wouldn't advise it with a car (trucks generally have rubber floor mats instead of carpet) you'll never get it properly dry and your electrics will be forever iffy!

Just registering my interest in this thread....we bought an XTrail a couple of months ago that my girlfriend could use as a work horse to go to the stables. The interior seats were pretty much spotless, but now they are absolutely ruined and covered in mud.

I know it was meant to be a workhorse, but I'd at least like to keep it in reasonable condition :(
