Stolen Ford Focus RS

how long will it be before insurance companies require all cars in this insurance band have trackers fitted and houses fitted with certain level protection systems?

This is all that was left of the car. 'Professional' job I think, stolen to order no doubt.

what is it?

Thieving scum :( fast Fords have always been victim to rampant theft.

Such a wonderful car, the owner must be totally gutted.

I hope it is found intact and returned to its rightful owner.

Sad. Must be stolen to order and shipped off in a container somewhere.

I can't see someone stripping that, unless they have a damaged one and want to transfer parts off and sell it, but do check ebay/gumtree.

Can't have anything nice these days. Sometimes I think it's pointless having an expensive car.

Do the RS' all have key-less entry?

My ST doesn't so I wonder if that makes it a little more secure? Although thankfully the ST is not so much of a target anyway.

If I had a Focus RS, i'd have no problem with it in terms of security and protection for the car.

Where I have a problem with it is my insurance company using it to snoop on me.

Fairly certain it's keyless entry as standard, not sure if they have keyless start though.

Go & buy a cheap motion PIR motion sensor alarm with remote, cost about £4, use them for shed, etc, casing is white now, not black as they where a few years ago, but a black permanent marker will soon change the colour.

Mate use to use one, just placed on the parcel shelf, simple, cheap & effective.

This would also work, attach to steering wheel, etc, no one isn't going hang around long enough to silence it.
