BMW 335d or Merc C350d

Must admit I really quite like the 3/535d to drive so if its a particularly good price and well specced then its worth considering.

I'd echo all of the above though in that its not really a car that will save you any sort of money so becomes a difficult car to justify buying at the full value and age you're looking at

They exist but they are just very rare. It was discontinued entirely in early 2010. So you've only got just over a year of production to search through, sadly.

I've been looking weekly and found zilch so far, loads of ill specced SE's all over the place.

I'm looking at E90's, I can see plenty of coupe M Sports.

I figured you were talking about E90's, hence everything I've said has related to the E90. The E92 had a 330i right through to end of production and whilst not exactly everywhere they are fairly easy to find.

There were many less 330i SE LCI sold than 330i M Sport. It seems very odd you are finding loads of SE's and no M Sport's. They didn't sell loads of SE's!

I can't imagine why they would be.
Fair enough. The 2.5 is poor on fuel as well.
Thought maybe the other V6 would be marginally better as it's 20bhp down..

350 miles a week in petrol was costing me about £260 a month, I'll save about £100 a month in fuel alone.

That would cost me about £175 a month in a remapped 2.0tdi a3, I can't see you saving £100 a month in a 3 litre diesel.

Good spot, his figures are total fantasy, just did the maths and 350 a week for 160 a month is a total average of 53mpg. Just ridiculous fantasy numbers.
