hey guys,

im moving into my new house on the 25th on Feb and am looking for a much larger desk that what i currently have so i can support three 24" monitors as well as my tower on top of it.

my current desk is a £50 jobby from argos, its 120cm wide and 50cm deep it is also 72cm tall.
it has a set of shelves on one side and a set of three drawers on the other, i want the new desk to not have these as they get in the way (cant fit my chair under it)

i could possibly fit a corner desk in if its not to large.

max budget is £150

what do you think guys?? :)

thought about it, but if i can get something suitable without building it then it will be a lot easier for me (got a 9 1/2 month old baby crawling around!)

haha, wouldn't want to see the misses face! :D

how much roughly would the wood be to make one? say 1x W150 H75 D60 plain wood then 4x legs

anyone made a desk recently?

Build your own.

I bought my desk 1800x1200/800 from some online office place.

I did consider building one using DIY flooring. Not the cheap thin laminate but solid wood or engineered wood. Double layer with the planks at right angles and using an old/cheap desk as a base. Finish the edges with some stick on laminate or wood strips.

This was the flooring I was laying when the idea of using it to build a desk came to me.

I've got a Galant desk at home, which is the 160x120 corner top link plus legs.

I've got 1x 24" and 2x 20", plus a Fractal Design Define XL case, and it all fits nicely.

hmmm... dont know what to do now lol

do i build a corner like Confused's, or do i buy the one unit and not use the pull-out :/

just some info to help: i will be running either three AOC G2460PQU's or a single 1440p ROG monitor (when its released) im also thinking about downgrading my storm trooper to something a little smaller like a arc midi R2, but still want the space incase i go full tower again.

i must admit that Confused's desk looks great, need to double check the space at the new house before ordering the stuff tho! :D

Confused, when you got that corner worktop, did you have to drill the holes for the legs or are they already drilled? and how many legs have you used to support your setup? thanks :)
