** The Official Call of Duty: Ghosts (CoD 2013) thread ***

I attempted to play Black Ops II yesterday, played 5 maps, 4 of them were Nuketown and the 5th map was just me being repeatedly shot through walls.

Are you playing on xbox360 mate? If yes send me friends request, game is x10 times more fun in a full party.

Great, tried to play this on my X1 last night and it wouldn't load, just black screened after the loading screen with the ghost leader on it.

exited out and tried again but nothing, any ideas on how to fix this as I want to play the SP.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago, turn the power off at the mains and then turn it back on after a couple of minutes, That worked for me.

Started playing the campaign last night. Thought I would have a Vet run through as usual and worry about achievement mop up later. I got to one point and stopped to drink my coffee. I hid outside the room while my team went in.

100GS popped, looked at what it was and it was for clearing a room on veteran without getting hit. There's guides how to do this WTF. I just sat outside the room and pushed up the corridor which triggers the team to push forward.

This is by far the easiest COD yet, it's like playing Dragon Lair. A 6 hour interactivce movie. They have run out of ideas, they only thing they can come up with is a new weapon that makes the killing even easier.

I am enjoying it for the brain out Arnie film cinematics but they really need to go back to basics on these. After AC3 though this game is a dream :)

The alternative is what BF4 does whereby your team mates don't actually shoot anybody and just pretend to so you feel like a team, but not let them do it for you

Yeah I can't believe it's about 6 or 7 years since Rainbow 6 Vegas and they still can't make a squad game as good as that for balance between AI kills and your kills. Give commands and if you make a stupid decision you have to go patch them up, that's what these games should have.

I did the last level on ghosts by doing the imaginary line trick where you take one step forward and step back again so the AI keeps pushing forward.

I enjoyed the story for what it was but my god it was a dreadful game tbh. The series is in need of a massive overhaul, SP and MP.

Me too. I'm loving multiplayer at the moment so much better than BO1 & 2 and MW3 I have not enjoyed it so much since MW2 And I'm loving the new maps :)

The only problem I have with it are the spawns and the single player story I thought it was a bit naff.

So seems the latest patch gives issues on the X1 version.

Recent feedback indicates the new frame-rate issues appear most prominently on the Stonehaven level, with explosions and alpha-based effects appearing to cause these fluctuations. The reports are somewhat worrying, given that the Xbox One version of Ghosts previously had no notable frame-rate problems outside of the campaign mode, with online multiplayer featuring action mostly locked at 60fps with very few dips in performance. While resolution may be unimpressive at 720p, Ghosts on Xbox One mostly delivered the 60fps gameplay that defines the series.

Bearing in mind that reports on game patches tend to be based purely on perception, we decided to run some fresh multiplayer captures through our analysis tools in order to get to the bottom of the issue. We loaded up the standard Team Deathmatch mode and recaptured gameplay on some of the key maps allegedly affected by the update, while also introducing Stormfront into the mix - a stage that features regular alpha effects in the form of frequent rain.

Kicking off with a look at Stonehaven, it's immediately obvious that things are not quite right. While the game does indeed hit 60fps in this stage, frame-rates are dramatically impacted when the whole level is in view, with metrics varying between 46-60fps as we run across the landscape. As frame-rates fall below the desired 60fps target, we also see the appearance of some screen-tear, adding some judder, making drops in smoothness more noticeable.

Meanwhile, aiming down the barrel of a sniper scope can see significant drops down as far as the mid-30s - something we never encountered before in ether next-gen version of Ghosts during multiplayer. As a result of the fluctuating frame-rate we can feel a clear reduction in the responsiveness of the controls, while on a visual level the introduction of stutter impacts the smooth flow traditionally associated with Call of Duty multiplayer action.

Alongside this, you'll also be able to deck your squad members out like the characters from Ghosts' single-player mode. Keegan, Merrick, Elias and Hesh skins will all be available for $1.99 each. An Extra Slots Pack will also allow you to have 10 loadouts per squadmate rather than the standard six, if you pay $1.99.
