Interested to see how well Mantle performs in this game, we got a few weeks left for them to tweak Mantle and also for possible new Mantle drivers before Thief lands.
I'd love to know how long they have been working with Mantle for this game and what exactly we can expect from it, will it be pure FPS increases while allowing us to dial it to 11? or will they have added some fancy effects due to Mantle taking the strain off the CPU? im guessing its going to be just extra FPS with better quality, neverless its going to be great.
Cant wait to see this game running at full res and compare it to Xbone / PS4 etc, im guessing PC owners are in for a treat, especially the Mantle users.

I know it's hard to tell from a youtube video, but some of the textures look a bit poor. Hopefully looks good at full res and performs well. Game itself looks very good

UE3 engine powered, don't think Mantle is going to make a difference on the high end(290/X), maybe push it to 180fps instead of 160fps?

only one speaker works on mine and the mic's given up hahah, i guess i should buy a cheapy set, im thinking standard Stereo will be best given Trueaudio does all the magic and puts it out to Stereo to amaze you?

Tempted to pre-order but think I'll wait for the reviews. But if it reviews well I'll probably get around to treating my self to a 290.

TrueAudio works on all outputs the more the better so have read. It's not there to replace true surround sound but also work with it.
At one of the events they showed TrueAudio playing in stereo and 7.1.
TrueAudio has me wanting to upgrade am a massive fan of audio and believe it's just as important as the visual you see.

isn't it coz it was initially developed with an older engine for the previous gen consoles? Too late to change
We are talking headphones, Idk how TA's implementation works, but with XFi's spacial sound implementation from creative(same thing more or less) through cans, Stereo worked better than 5.1 cans.
Over speakers, it works with anything.

The difference is night and day to me. Because each Cup has its own separate 40mm driver you can actually hear the sound coming from them much clear.
The TrueAudio will just treat headset like a 5.1 surround system, and give a more accurate surrounding sound.

Still sticking with my Corsair cans though.
Yeah the corsair vengeance 1500 is what I used to have. Great headset just not better than roccat kave 5.1
