Titanfall is the most anticipated upcoming Xbox one video game title. Developed by Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall is a first-person online shooter game that will feature giant metal Titans. Titanfall is Microsoft exclusive game and it would be released on March 11,2014 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Screenshot Comparison of Xbox One Alpha And PC Version of Titanfall – Difference Between High And Low Resolution Textures
Titanfall was highly praised by gamers and developers when it was first revealed at E3 2013, the game took home with it over 60 E3 awards. Microsoft and Respawn Entertainment reassured the gamers that Titanfall will blur the lines between PC and console graphics, the Xbox One version of the game will look as immersive as PC.
Respawn Entertainment earlier launched the Titanfall alpha testing phase for the Xbox One version of the game. The game’s textures in alpha version were inferior to the one that were shown in trailers by the developer, this topic caused a lot of noise within the Titanfall community and the developer was highly criticized. To elucidate the matter, Respawn Entertainment stated that Titanfall’s texture resolution was packed down in order to reduce the download size of the game so that it could be tested easily.
The matter got chaotic when an industry insider and neoGAF user codenamed Crazy Buttocks On A Train claimed that Respawn Entertainment was hiding the facts and the textures of Titanfall alpha were final for the Xbox One version of the game. To this, Respawn Entertainment responded that their previous statement is true and that would gain nothing by lying on the issue.
To check the real difference between the resolution and textures of alpha and original (PC) version of Titanfall, Dual Shockers managed the time put up a screenshot comparison of both the versions. The comparison screenshots were taken directly from the alpha gameplay footage of Titanfall (the one that features least compression) and from the “Angel City Demo” Titanfall PC trailer.

Below you can see the Titanfall screenshot comparison between Xbox One alpha and PC version. Screenshots taken from trailer featuring the PC version of the game will be below the Xbox One alpha version of the game. As stated by Dual Shockers, “We tried to portray elements as similar as possible, even when not identical, as of course we did not have direct control of the footage.”

It is clear to see that PC users are getting looked after and rightly so. Modern PC's are far superior than the consoles but we don't always get the games we deserve graphically but looking at the differences is night and day for me :)

Minimum specs are low as well, so for those who have an older system, they can still enjoy this anticipated game.

OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 8.1
Processor: AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz
RAM: 4GB 512MB VRAM
Graphics card: Radeon HD 4770 or GeForce 8800GT

And a teaser vid:

Oh go on then, one more vid :p

Watched the second video, slightly more interested than I was, but still going to wait for user reviews before purchasing. This is definitely not a pre-order for me...for some reason it reminds me of Brink

I am somewhat bored of the likes of BF3/4 and want something else to try online. I am not a Final Fantasy gamer but loved FFX/X-2 on the PS2 but not sure I would know what I was doing if I played FF XIV online. Car games soon get frustrating and I am not very good, so Titanfall looks like it will be getting my money.

Gregs you got a TESO Beta key? if not would you like one for this weekend? :) Give it a try if you liked Skyrim, while not everyones cup of tea for an MMO its definitely fun to play for a short space of time.

I agree with the comment about PC gamers getting looked after, although id be skeptical if Microsoft allowed the game to be released with a massively better set of textures on the PC than their beloved Xbone, looking at those pictures the PC looks wicked and the Xbone textures look like Xbox textures haha.

They'd have been better shipping both with the same textures but allowing PC community to mod their textures, then they wouldnt get any blame for allowing PC players to have higher res textures lol.

I dont think i will bother with it personally, i love the look of it, but i hear its only 6v6? :( it should have been atleast 48 player really i feel.

Looks very good on pc! Looking forward to this, I do enjoy bf4, but like you Greg it bores me after an hour or two.

I'm hoping that it's going to be a good year for pc gaming with this, watchdogs, thief and the witcher 3 coming out this year.

I gotta admit i love BF4 but i can only do 1 or 2 rounds before i need to do something else, still its a lot of fun. I have Witcher 1 and 2 and havent even played them, i guess i should at some point, looking forward to Thief, was looking forward to TESO but i dont think i will be buying it , still on the fence tbh.

My list of most anticipated games are - Watchdog, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, Camelot Unchained and prob EQNext, but the majority wont be landing this year or maybe even next.

Would not get too excited it uses the now ancient Source engine so it will not look like a 2013-2014 PC game as that does not support the full DX11 spec let alone DX11.1-11.2.

Cannot think of a single source game which uses Tessellation for instance  The low GPU spec is the big clue here ;)

That's a shame AWPC, we gotta hope gameplay is unto snuff then!! Let's face it, Source games are cracking even without insane textures etc ;)

I'd expect more than 6v6 for the PC online-play though tbh, but that's just me

Wow, honestly didn't expect the difference to be that great.

I suppose it's mostly because it's built for Xbox 360 as well. It'll be interesting to see how Xbox one/PS4 only games stack up to PC.

14isn't too bad tbh.

Same here, i was really looking forward to this then they announced the low player limit, i know each team will have AI bot backups but it's not the same.
I may even end up skipping it altogether now :(

Not interested, but thats not to say I think it looks bad.

It's looks like COD gone sci-fi. A bit of innovation isnt a bad thing.

But this thread should not be in this section of the forum. In fact isnt there already a Titan Fall thread in existance.

Oh and you know this will run at 60fps with ease.

The article states that they have said the alpha xbox textures aren't final.

The game could be fun but rumours/announcements of 6v6, AI bots and no dedicated servers etc are a little off putting. Looking forward to seeing what its like but certainly wouldn't pre-order from what I have seen so far.

Yeah I remember reading that from somewhere. The Alpha wont be using the final texture to cut down the download size.

I can't wait for this game tbh, I with Greg and other FPS games are kinder getting boring and this looks different.
