New entries in this delightful chart of questionably motivational more likely downright insulting messages include:

  • 'USE STAIRS MORE OFTEN'
  • 'NOBODY WILL EVER LOVE YOU, TUBBY'
  • 'I BET YOU URINATE GRAVY, YOU LUMP OF LARD'
And number one with a bullet:

  • 'STOP BUYING TROUSERS WITH ELASTICATED WAISTBANDS'
Personally, I think this is £10,000 well spent. People over a certain weight who are gluttons not only for food but also punishment have been under-served and finally the local government in this progressive City have recognised this and stepped up to the plate (which is a baseball reference, not a fat reference by the way).

So what do you 'orrible lot think? I know it's probably all a bit much to take in now that we've finally realised that the key to effective weight loss is snarky text messages delivered with the misguided belief that they are actually motivational, but please try to compose yourself darling, you're making a scene.

e: research on the effect of picture messages is also being conducted by the geniuses at Stoke on Trent council.

I have a better idea.

Send the 500 people who signed up an A5 sheet of paper with the same messages on, and a fridge magnet.

Should cost about 10p plus a stamp per person.

Give half of the remaining £9.6k to me, for saving them £4.8k.

You forgot them being addicted to food and how addiction is a disease and they only eat two cheeseburgers for lunch at McDonalds so it can't be how much they're eating because they've always been big boned anyway and the midnight gravy drinking habit can't be doing it because they only have six litres of diet coke each day.

"Them" I only commented about the thread singular and the fact that it was imho being abused I'm sure it of all threads doesn't need the "large" word being bandied about, as I know it's sensitive.
