Midlands Council to start sending borderline abusive text messages to land manatees

Me thinks Angilion & Bitslice are exaggerating getting into Hanley Town Centre a bit.
I went earlier, straight up to the Potteries Shopping Centre Car Park and was in & out.
If not that car park there are several more I can go at.
And the Canal is around 1/2 mile away from the City Centre and I doubt you'd get a barge up it but you would get a narrowboat.

Yep, to get to that car park either involves coming down from that horrible junction at Cobridge and round twenty pointless roundabouts, each taking you further away, or round the hairpin express from Shelton.
Had they wished they could have built a straight line all they way from the A500, but they didn't.

In fact they could have built a straight road all the way from the M6@Handford to Hanley but gave up at Hartshill.

I don't want to pay £200 for 12 picoseconds + mandatory parking fine, I especially don't want to pay to have some Doris scrape my wing mirror or play 3 hours of concrete helter skelter with 2,000 other people waiting to park.

Even when you do find a space you need Castrol super teflon oil and a 300 tonne steel press to squeeze your car into a free parking bay. This is why every car owner in Hanley has fitted a sunroof, so you can get out of your car once you've parked in the Potteries centre.

Not that matters for the car park opposite the library because you can't physically get any higher than the ground floor, the ramps were designed for bicycles.

Funnily enough the Park and Ride is 1/2 mile from the centre, but the canal runs just outside my village. I think a Top Gear challenge is required :D
