Workplace Nursery Costs

I was wondering if anybody here has a workplace nursery and if so can you share the daily rate you are paying (9-5)? Also where you are.

We are going to have one later this year but my employer is currently unable to give an indication of what the cost will be (not even ballpark).

As it is tax deductible and at the employers discretion I expect there to be a range of prices. I was just after a reasonable estimate on what to expect.

Thanks for any help!

Around £45/day where my OH works (Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire).
Varies slightly depending on age of child and how many meals to supply.
Mornings/afternoons can be booked separately.

I pay £48 per day but my son now only goes twice a week. It made more sense for my other half to concentrate on her business and not bring as much money in than her to work full time. It just wasn't working when we tried it.

How can people afford it???

If you're earning £200 a day then it's quite affordable ;)

Also, remember each parent can use childcare vouchers (if the employer supports them), so that's a potential £200 reduction per month in childcare costs if both parents are working.

The childcare when I was working was £31 a day but that was quite a long day (07:45 to 17:45). Now my two eldest (5 and 7) are both at school and my daughter (3 yrs) is at the school nursery for her 15 hrs free child care (Mon, Tues, half day Wed) and I'm now retired :-)

£37 a day at Nursery 7.30 -6.00 (not that she's there the whole time) - Cheshire
We get a "free place" which roughly equates to a day a week free

Damn sight cheaper now the fleets is at school but still £14 a day for "wrap round" club

Childcare vouchers are worth about £1k / year in tax savings, no where near £200 / month in savings.

We currently pay £42/day for a 2year old.

Is this how much childcare costs????

This would pretty much double our monthly outgoings!

That is just the start of the costs!

Got a rug rat on the way and just working out expenses and child saving. We can afford the child without issue but the costs are eye watering
