Sold my 680 Classified so i`m looking to buy a new card or cards I game at 1920 x 1080p for now but will be looking to get a bigger monitor in the future.

The two cards i`m looking at are.

EVGA 770 Classified x 2
Or

EVGA 780 Ti Classified

Will the 770s out perform the 780 Ti?

Thanks

780/780ti obviously has the added vram so will help in some games.

770SLI is obviously more powerful than a single 780ti however you are limited to 2gig vram (although there are 4gig options, but at that point you may have bought a 780)

In essense a 770 is almost the same as the 680 you got rid of, so a cheaper option might of been to sli 680s....I guess its to late now?

Since you indicate you might go to a high resolution later on I would suggest maybe 780/780ti or an ati 290 would be a better long term bet.

well the 4gig evga 770 are £360, for that money you could buy a 780.

Why not consider 780SLI since you are thinking of spending that much money on 770sli anyways?

I want to stay with EVGA if I can but it may be worth looking at the 780s like you said.

770sli would be slightly better i think than a 690 so look at that vs a 780ti benchmarks should be easy to find

how soon into the future (monitor)?...as iv kinda asked something similar in another thread about upgrading from my sli 770's... but at 1080p there was really no point..... personal i wouldn't buy the ti... as maxwell will be here this year...

as your starting out fresh again buy one 780.. id say....as the the urge to upgrade get us all :)

or if money is no concern heck just buy 3 ti's :)

Is the 780Ti worth the extra over the normal 780 though.

I'd say no if you're going SLI.

What sort of watts do you need for sli 780 ti?

Power Consumption GeForce GTX 780 Ti 2-way SLI
System in IDLE = 129W
System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 617W
Difference (GPU load) = 488W
Add average IDLE wattage ~20W
Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 508 Watts

so I'd be looking at 850W Gold/Platinum.

Clone ol bud, you have sold a 770 equivalent with selling your 680's. I would seriously go for the 780 classy in x2 versions (non Ti) or if you seriously want the fastest card, go for the 780Ti Classy.

Got here late but I would not have bought any type of 770 after having a 680 as basically same card+GPU Boost 2.0+faster Vram.
