Looking for new Motherboard

My current motherboard, the Asus P8P67 (B2 Revision) has finally decided to cave in to the known Sata port issues and has really been playing up the past week, so I think the time has come to get it replaced.

Not looking for anything particularly fancy, and want to keep cost as low as I can as recently have upgraded a few other parts.

Current spec:

i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz
Thermalright Silver Arrow Cooler
Asus HD 7970 Matrix Platinum
Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz RAM
Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SSD
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II HDD
XFX Pro 650W Core Edition PSU
Windows 7 64bit

So basically looking for a board that will work perfectly will all my other parts, be fine for having the overclock on the CPU, and allow me to get the most out of everything etc. Don't think I need any 'extra' features, and won't be adding a second GPU any time soon so no real need for an extra GPU slot if that would make a difference.

Thanks.

Have been recommended this Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 .

Any better options than this? Or is this pretty much the best I can get for this price range?

Willing to spend a little more if it would be worth it. (Worth it for me being performance and reliability wise, also one that has current and continued support in terms of BIOS updates etc.)

its upto you but z77 doesn't bring anything that the p67 doesn't already have apart from being able to use the igpu

the d3h is a decent board look at the asus z77 v pro aswell

if it were me id chuck in a sata card and wait for skylake

Are you referring to this Asus P8Z77-V PRO board?

I think that's a bit over-budget for me, was hoping to get one for under £100.

Is this Asus P8Z77-V LX worth considering over the Gigabyte Z77-D3H ? Or is the Gigabyte the better of the two for me?

im not sure tbh, I think the v lx might skimp on oc features compared to the v pro, atleast its like that on the z68 versions

the gigabyte would be the best feature wise for the money

Ok, thanks.

Think I'll go for the Gigabyte then. Will just be nice to know that I have a fully up-to-date board, rather than an old, very out of date software wise board with known issues and no support.

Thanks for your help.
