Does anyone use Google Play Newsstand? I have added some feeds to the "My News" section. I have ticked all of them to "Keep on device".

Can someone tell me whether it will automatically sync and keep the offline cache up-to-date with "new" articles? I cannot see any configuration to do this or how to setup a schedule.

I am just trying to migrate from Currents to the Newsstand.

Go to Android settings, Accounts, Google, your Google account Newsstand is tied to, find Google Newsstand and make sure sync is on.

I'm thinking of moving back from Currents to Newsstand too.

I didn't know it could be configured to auto update new articles. Awesome.

However, when I first used Newstsnd, it migrated all my news subscriptions across from Currents. Since then I've added more to Currents which do not automatically update in Newsstand. Is that expected? Do I need to now manually add new subs?

Ah OK thanks. So it looks like you cannot actually schedule the sync, you can only turn it on an off like the other services. Nevermind, I just make sure I go to "My News", go to settings and click "Refresh" to make sure it's all up-to-date before I leave the house.

You might need to force sync for the two. Newsstand is suppose to replace Currents so I expect Currents to disappear soon.

It's a pity you can't control when it syncs, hopefully Google will plan to add something like that in the future. It's a great app but it does need some refinement.

One other question.. How on earth can I see more articles? You scroll down to the bottom and you can't see any more or make it download older articles?? Is it possible? There's no way of configuring a limit or x number of days to download...
