Phelan in the interim with Ancelotti in the summer?

Phelan would certainly have enough knowledge of the players to get the best out of them, but maybe he'd be rubbish without SAF doing the motivating.

I can't see us getting Ancelotti but there are plenty of decent, winning managers out there who would quite possibly thrive with £150m to spend. I suppose there's every chance Ancelotti could be sacked, knowing what Madrid are like.

Expectations are pretty much rock bottom at the moment too. Seeing us attempt a few passes through the middle would have me all light-headed.

Highlight for me was Juan Mata on the final whistle, stood hands on hips looking side to side with an expression as if to say "WTF have I let myself in for?!"

That was pretty hilarious when i saw him doing that...kinda feel sorry for him that hes gone to that from Chelsea...should have stayed as a benchwarmer, he would have had a chance of winning the PL title and getting CL football next season. At this rate he wont be getting either lol.

In nearly 10 year I can't recall him ever saying anything positive about Arsenal. Even when they win he finds something to complain about.

LOL we could win all the trophies on offer and DM will never EVER post anything nice about Arsenal and Wenger. Ive just learnt to ignore him and the wall of texts he types out.

So despite spending 70 million and every utd fan having them in the top 2 at the start of the season it's not moyes fault they are **** this season but the team fergue left? Funny stuff.

We've got several players who can do that, but if they're doing that then they aren't crossing. If Moyes doesn't want us to play like that then there's not much they can do. Kagawa must be having fun though, he's been discarded by Moyes completely and look how it's working out for Davey boy

The players on the pitch have to take some responsibility.

The talent with Rooney and to a lesser extent Mata were on the pitch to do this (if there is such a thing as "between the lines" with 10 "defenders" in and around the box majority of the time) - I dont think anyone would have given them the "hairdryer" had they got on with their own tactics on the pitch.

Neither player has actually addressed the obvious weaknesses Fergie left (and have been mentioned countless times on here), not to mention the fact that both players probably havent played 10 games combined for Utd.
