Name me this 80s cartoon

Hey everyone,

I've been racking my brains about this all day, but cannot remember the name of it.
Would be good to see if there are any youtube episodes going around for nostalgia.

So - here is the best description I can give:

The main character was an egg, I think, with really long thin legs.
Pretty sure that the character and name of the show was some kind of scandinavian sounding name.
The cartoon was only 5 minutes or so long. And was either on bbc1 or itv.
It was a bit trippy. In the fashion of the noomins for example.
Oh...and the music may have been a John Williams acoustic guitar type number along the lines of the deerhunter.

Righto - guess away.

That seems about right - but I wonder why I thought it had John Williams music in it.
I wonder if I am merging two similar retro cartoons.

But that is definately what I was looking for.

There was this one I think,

There was this skinny dog called ron or something, who was angry all the time, and a fat cat called scrumpy who sounded like that guy out of Futurama. There was a lot of snot and fighting in it.

Any ideas?
 
The early Ren and Stimpy is ... mental... Loved that. Did it start on MTV late night ??
or was it Cartoon Network ?
