Hi,

Would you be so kind as to spec me a gaming rig for around £1000 please?
I have a mouse KB and monitor. I also have an old Antec Plus 1080AMG file server case that I'd be happy to reuse if its up to the job or could be modded cost effectively.

Many thanks for your help

Best Regards
Dave.

One 290x or 2 x 280's?
Not sure about board choice.
Want 16gb memory for video but which?
Don't worry about bling, it'll sit in a corner and not get seen.

I can afford a bit more if it makes the difference in performance and longevity.

I wouldn't spend money on a 290X. For a substantial saving the 290 is almost as good. Pick one up for ~£380 instead of £450 for 290X.

I'll post my suggestion in a minute.

Same speed and £10 cheaper. Also it's low profile so you can still use the K2.
