Knock, Knock Delivery :D

Guys is it good idea to have same fans intake and out take? I already own two 140 apache black fans that will go in front of the case. If I was to buy another two for at top of the case that a good idea?

Yeah, I'd say having more fans would be better, get the air moving through and out the case.
It would be interesting to see if switching the cards around meant that the 'new' top card was hitting the same temps as the current card and if the 'new' lower card was as cool as the current one is. That would suggest it's an airflow problem or the cards are too close. They do look quite close from that photo (I'm a bit spoilt, both my boards (R IV E and Z87X-OC) both have 2 slots between dual cards), but maybe it's the angle.

You could also try using a custom fan profile?

Shanks, send them back and grab a pair of 780's. Much cooler and less hassle :D
Now Greg, you can't expect him to do that, imagine how much worse the Star Swarm demo would run!

I think It's just finding the correct air flow for this case tbh you do have good idea about switching them around and see if they give same result.

On my haf x the front and side fan are intakes and the rear and top are out.

I have no side fan on this case though. So I need to get the hot air up and out the case, so the most powerful fans I can think of are the apache blacks or is they better?
The apache blacks give of a strong air flow up to 1 foot.

I have 3 Akasa Vipers on the front (and top) of my 540 AIR (one day I'll stick a rad on them). With PWM they don't have to be noisy, but you've got something in the tank if you need it.
With my current config my HIS 7950 IceQ cards are still the loudest fans in the case (thanks partly to LtMatt's BIOS).

I believe the default layout for HAF cases is front and side intake and top and rear exhaust. I did consider switching the side fan on mine around when I had dual Windforce 3X 670s, but was concerned that'd give me too much negative air pressure.

Is that bringing cold air in, or exhausting hot air out?

What I have noticed playing BF4 is my GPU usage on both cards is all over the place but gameplay is very smooth.

It's not like my 7950's were they kept the same usage.

ULPS is disabled and 50+ on the power slider.

Dust filter
Before I buy a crap one lol they loads to pick from. What the best 140mm fan filter? I going to put my H80 as intake but no dust filter on the back this case.

Good news on the temps. Use beta 18 of afterburner, much more consistent gpu usage.

You might want to consider trying a positive pressure set up. Try switching the top fan to also pull in. Having more air being pulled in than being pushed out means that air will naturally be forced out where ever possible, usually via the vented area near your PCI slots.

Good idea, but I will also need more fan filters. :D

I just bought a 200mm dust filter off OCUK shop, can't remember the make. They're a bit militant though, might stop more than just dust. You know, like actual air :D
