I dont really know how to do it properly - i can play his games he can play mine but only when logged into each others accounts.

Sorry, but they are not wasted at LM/RM.. they are actually used more in those positions. Playing them as LW/RW doesn't give them enough time on the ball to create chances or really do anything but try and cut in quickly.
That is from my experience playing with both of them in a team.

CAM = Nasri/Cabaye
CDM = Fernandinho, Fellani, Essien, Ramires..

I always notice Fernandinho and wonder why he isn't on a rare card?
Decided i am going to try a defensive field with only 1 striker up front. So i need CAM and ST for 110k as i am gunna try that Toure with the rest of the money.
Still think Torres is the best striker i have used so might even get him back into the squad, only 2k.

CAM = Nasri/Cabaye
CDM = Fernandinho, Fellani, Essien, Ramires..
Cabaye is Medium/Medium... not exactly a central ATTACKING midfielder. Cabye is a CM.
You only mentioed one CDM in your post.. Essien, rest are CM's. I wouldn't trust any of the other 3 at protecting my back 4, not even Fellaini.

Granted, but Cabaye is an excellent CAM, though i do play 3 CAM's (Nasri, Cabaye and Rooney).
Personally i like a Deep CAM (haha!), he picks the ball up deep (haha!) and his dribbling does the rest of the work..
..and his longshots...
Fellani and Fernandinho are great CDM's, though i do play them together.
Personally if i was going for one CDM (cheap) it'd be Fellaini, his Aerial strength is useful.No one wants to play me.

True on Cabaye, I had his SIF as a CAM 433-4 and he just refused to get forward, real shame
I'll give you it on Ribery, I did play round with him positioning a bit when I had him and his uses at LM were there, but Robben at RM just wasn't good for me at all, but each to their own, Psycho Robby

Last night gaming session was crazy, felt like i was playing against a bunch of raging zombies. 1 player just wanted to cross the ball to Diouf no matter where he was even when through on goal.
The others just held onto the team mate contain button and his players were running around like mad similar to that of World War Z movie when a loud noise is played. Makes the game completely boring. To make it worse one opponent was doing this with this expensive team playing 5-2-2-1

Still managed to beat him 2-1

Probably.
I have no idea why i feel inclined to play FUT, and change things around blaming myself constantly when the game just does what it likes a high majority of the time. I remember yesterday playing a low through ball and both my strikers made a run for it but it was more for the right striker and it wouldnt let me select that player just the left striker to which the defender claimed the ball, no matter how many times i tapped L1 it would not give me any other player and i use Manual selection. I also cant remember the amount of times ive won the ball with my defender in my own box gone to clear it and he hasnt kicked it and got the ball took of him and scored. I really should stop playing FUT.

Changing players with L1 is not a good idea. Use the thumb stick.

Going off the FUT topic for a moment....Been playing player career the last couple of days by playing just as my player. I'm actually really enjoying it been quite fun and different experience. I’ve bought all the stat boosts I can from the EA catalogue up to level 41(I think) If anyone here has a higher rating and could gift me the stat boosts for the player career I’d be forever grateful ! (I’m on Xbox one) They only cost a small amount of points. I will gift you stuff in return (like kits, boots or whatever) if I have anything you want.
