OCUK items out of stock

i was just putting an order for tomorro morning however this item is out of stock and not sure how long it will be till its back in

would something like this be a suitable alternative to the above item, if not im open to suggestions

i know i can get the coolstream PE elsewhere but would rather buy all items from the same place for easiness.
 
I would order from eslewhere as OcUK staff often tells you two weeks, which is a guess...
 
The difference in thickness isn't huge, but I bet the middle bit that cools water is the same as the old version radiators. I'm sure it'll do the same job.
 
I'd be surprised if there was much between EK and XSPC's radiator offerings in terms of performance, should be a perfect alternative if you're not after a specific appearance.
 
i held of on the off chance they would come back in stock, if they not in for tuesday i will just order the xspc one instead. rads will be covered anyways so not as if many will see the look of them
 
Was looking to buy 2 of those rads myself they've been on preorder since before the new year. I'd look elsewhere or use different rads I picked up 2 xspc ex240 rads and the work perfectly roughly same thickness as the EK ones
 
thnx im still undecided whether to go with the xspc rads or buy from elsewhere. i have till tuesday to decide tho plus other place has the xfx psus in stock and i noticed ocuk no longer sell them

THIS. Buy something else from OCUK. Don't wait on 'Out of stock' Items. As nice and helpful as OCUK staff are, they seem to have trouble with providing dates on pre-order/Out of stock items.

I ordered some EK stuff over a week ago and they said new stock would be arriving in a week or so. This week I asked again and they said stock will be coming in 2-3 Weeks.

I think the delivery boat sank with the EK stuff on board, along with the H440 case I've been waiting for.

I've since cancelled my order.
 
Usually what happens to me when things aren't in stock with OCUK is I buy them from somewhere else and then either that week or the week after OCUK get it in stock.

Most notably so far were the two waterblocks for my graphics cards and the bridge + connections and one of the new Monsoon bay reservoirs.
 
To be fair to OCUK the only time I've had issues with stock they gave me a free upgrade. Most companies would just make you wait.

Ill second the koolance rad. Great manufacturer.
 
ocuk are pretty damn good to be fair when it comes to stock... before when i have had a large order a simple message to them and they mailed everything apart from what was not in stock at the time to me with a mail of the item that was oos instantly when they received it. I know in the watercooling section we don't quite get the attention the other sections get but they are pretty damn good

I've been waiting since the 10th of Dec for the 480 pe
To finish my build.
As the one I was sent had a bent thread
Apparently stock was due today.
No idea what ek is playing at but it's a poor show

There is a difference.

There are more copper chambers and a much higher split fin density. The new radiators are actually far closer to the premium AX series of XSPC rads than the entry level XSPC or old EK radiators. They all do the trick but depends on if you are willing to sacrifice radiator performance for convenience of having to order from the same place.
