Hi guys, posted this over at another forum weeks ago, but thought it would be a more interesting discussion here.

I just wondered what some of your favourite gadgets/peripherals for PC gaming are. I am a big fan of Razer; I have a Razer Hydra and have been considering getting the Razer Tartarus in the summer (hopefully I have time to game then); http://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/gamin...azer-tartarus/

What do you guys use and for what sort of games.

My list:

Razer Hydra: FPS games, FPS-RPG hybrids.
K/B + Razer Mamba: RPGs, RTS.
360/GFWL pad: Action adventure, third person shooters, sports games, platformers etc
Thrustmaster F430 Wheel: Racing games.
Saitek F.L.Y. 5 flight stick: Flight sims, Flying in BF3 etc

Planned in next year or so:

Razer Tartarus: RPGs (replace keyboard)
Dell 29in monitor (maybe lol)
Razer Megalodoon headphones
Some sort of 5.1 speakers

Yeh I use the 360 pad for that game, I'm basically making each game as comfortable as possible by having an appropriate control method, it makes it a little more fun to play as well. Driving with a wheel is more fun, flying jets with a stick etc; more immersive too.

G27 and Wheelstand Pro - driving (360 controller for driving with no wheel support)
Saitek Cyborg Platinum - Freespace 2, IL2 COD, LOMAC
360 controller - mainly for ports and where it works better than KB+mouse
G105+Anker 8000 - FPS and games where it works better than the other controllers :)

No-one using any crazy assortment of gadgets? I find that hard to believe on here. Any crazy sound systems or anything?

I can't stand Razor stuff, always used Roccat instead. Can't beat German engineering.

Recently got a dongle so I can use my wireless xbox controller to play games, then I use my 40inch TV instead of my monitor.

I do want to get one of those keypads like the Tarturus but I have a £110 mechanical keyboard and it would seem like a waste of money to have something else that is pretty much a small keyboard.

Xbox360 Pad for driving and 3rd person,
Logitech Joystick for flying games,
FPS KB&M Corsair M65 & K30.

Bit boring really but it works.

I've a K30 sitting in front of me at the moment (next to my K70). Thinking whether or not to send it back as the lighting is really dull, whats the red lighting like on yours? My K70 is ultra bright red-ness, this K30 seems rather dull indeed compared.

I've had in about 2 months, started off quiet bright, now tho even on top settings it's dull. Not sure if its my eyes but I'm sure it has dimmed!

I want the K70, no need for the G keys as I have a small desk.

The K70 is brilliant. Types like a dream and could be used as an emergency spot light if its on the highest setting. Sounds really nice when you type as well. You could also use it as a weapon as well, since the whole thing is made of metal.

Sold!

Think I'll buy one this weekend. Been putting it off for no good reason for too long.

I have a love for Steelseries gear. It is rock solid and I hate gimmicky rubbish.

Steelseries 6Gv2 keyboard.
Steelseries Sensei Pro mouse.

360 pad when required.

Logitech dominated for me!

Keyboard is a G110
Mouse G400S
Steering Wheel Driving Force Pro
Speakers z906

My only non-logitech peripherals are:
Headphones Sennheiser HDR170;
Controller Sony Dualshock 3;
Mic Pioneer car stereo mic

Yeah, what he said! :)

Roccat everything over here! And pretty much use the K&M combo for all games.

Though I'll be investing in a joystick for Star Citizen whenever a requirement eventually rises so I'll be following this thread for recommendations :P

Has to be my trusty Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical. Such a legendary mouse. It's becoming harder to replace them though.

I've only ever used Sennheiser headphones, can't see myself using anything else.
