So, now I've gone and done it.:p Tomorrow night is my going-away *** Fully star your swear words please *** - Will Gill up at work and Friday my last day in the office. Next Wednesday night I'm flying.

I'm 90% excited and 10% bricking it. I've got a major support structure over there already AND a job waiting for me starting the first day of March. Got a car, furniture, girlfriend, even a cat

It should be the most smooth of landings but still I find myself lying awake most nights trying to find something I've missed. Working through the whole thing in my head. It can't be this easy right?

Not really a question thread per se.

Or actually, there must be some of you here that made the move abroad. How did you find it settling in? How long does it take before it becomes Home?

Just remember all your documents, almost everything else can be bought again.

When does it become home? When you are happy, it could be 2 months, it could be never.

Take a hat and put it in the house because wherever you lay your hat, that's your home :)

Good luck down there, and just ignore any passing Australians if they start calling you names or inferring things about sheep, innzidd is a great place.

Done a similar thing its as hard or as easy as you want to make it. Try and integrate with culture/local people after that all will fall into place. All in my opinion of cause

Congrats man! You will enjoy it here. Make sure (again) you have all the documents you need for travelling and the rest is smooth sailing.

Maybe a NZ OCUK meet?
