A1S = £24,900

I like the S1 but I think i would prefer something more sensible like an A3 S-Line or something. Unless i had money to throw around.
But then again, the S1 is not going to be bought for sensible reasons i'm sure.

Because Audi don't have a small car on their range. They needed to plug a gap in the market as the A3 isn't small. Also, because it's a cheaper option to own a new Audi i suppose.

Or in the hedges. 300bhp in that would lead to nothing more than catastrophic understeer.

Love the totally necessary 4 exhausts for a 228bhp 2litre 4 cylinder engine. That was a clearly an engineering decision.
 
I like it except for the quad exhausts and the coloured panels inside. The exhausts would be enough to put me off as it looks a bit chavvy.
 
Id have one, but wait for it to tumble in price used. However many people will buy these on PCP where they are paying most of the depreciation.
 
It's just a 'halo' car to improve the image of the rest of the range. This is so they can sell 1.2 TSFI A1 S-Line Sport Black Editions that look like S1s.

It is rather expensive for a car with a dash that resembles Bender from Futurama though.

Four exhausts seems to be an S/RS styling decision now. The new S3 also has 4 exhausts.

I actually like the look of the car and think it could be a lot of fun.
 
I like this. I would rather this than a JCW which is similar money with a few options. Admittedly this is a touch too expensive, but I am sure it will sell well, and it will be desirable. Probably hold its value quite well. Will look a lot better in 3 door guise, and not in such a stupid colour.
 
I wish Audi would stop putting 4 exhausts on these cars. It looks ridiculous. It's embarrassing enough on the S3 let alone this.

I prefer the understated looks of the old cars. Two exits to either side of the rear would 've been great.
 
My wife has the 1.4 TFSI A1 and it's a cracking little car, the S1 looks like it's going to be brilliant fun, 230bhp in a car that size!
As for the price £25k doesn't go a long way towards anything quick and German these days.

same engine as the performance pack golf gti..but is worse on fuel and about 2 tax brackets higher?


is that the 4 wheel drive weight do you think?
 
Don't care how fast it is or anything else... I can't even see out the rear windscreen when using the rear-view mirror... visibility is garbage in the A1.
