Guys been out of the game a while and back on the dreaded roll ups but getting fed up with smoking!

Which is the best kit for around 20-30 pounds?

I think the last one i had was either a Tornado tank or a vision....

Any advice would be great :)

Evod + Spinner.

Started on the tank myself and tried pretty much all clearos etc. Gravitated to KFL + Provari now but my Evod and spinner give a great vape that never lets me down and still use regularly.

Vapemail today! Finally a bunch of Kanthal and an IGO-W.

Spent tonight setting the damned thing up... Taken me about 3 hours LOL...

So here is my dual coil - 2x14 wraps of .2 Kanthal around a 2mm watchmakers screwdriver LOL. You can just about see all the ones I messed up in the background... This came out at bang on 2 ohms - much to my amazement!

Here we go we are on fire!

Wicked with cotton - what a faff that was...

Pssssshhhht!

The final article.

Is it better than the Kayfun? erm... No. Its a bit tastier but the draw is so tight on the IGO. That said my wicking probably isn't all that.
I may have to try and drill the IGO out - that'll be fun with a Makita hammer drill and no press or vice that's for sure ;)
I will admit due to complete noobishness, my first build came out at 1.2 ohms and the sigelei could not fire it. DOH!
I bought a gas torch today also - guys - stick with your lighters - more often than not i burnt the tails off due to the heat. Bah.

Looking good Red but to me it looks like a lot of cotton lol.

Once you build a couple of microcoils it gets really easy, it omly takes a few mins to make one and fit it, you will wonder what all the trouble was.
Yas can attest to this but i think he is still on his jollys down under (lucky git :))

Good effort Red - but lose the bed of cotton in the IGO-W - it won't wick up to the coil fast enough to be any use. You literally want enough to hit the deck on both sides to grab any juice in the well, bit not so much you lose half a bottle of juice to it.
I'd also recommend drilling a 1.2mm hole either side of the topcap - not directly opposite (ie 12 & 6 o'clock) but more like 12 and 5 o'clock - use your coil placement for reference.

Rather than waste my own drill bits, I took my topcap already marked up, to my local family run hardware and fastenings store, they've got a pillar drill and charge a simple £5 "workshop fee" - well worth it when the guy snapped 5 hardened 1.5mm drill bits (£12 each!) on the super thick steel of my Pulse-G atty. Perhaps you'll have somewhere similar nearby?

Other than that, good effort chum. Now get some Samsung INR18650-15Q from Torchy at £10.75 per pair, delivered (you'll need them for your JM22!) and some 0.35mm/27AWG Kanthal and dual microcoil (1.5mm drillbit) that dripper. I'll email you the pic of mine for reference. I have a Milo's Mods custom 22mm brushed Stainless Steel Topcap designed to match the JM, looks the dawg's danglies and in 18350 mode, it's smaller than a cig-a-like!

Hi guys,

I had planned on doing this about a month ago but never got around to it, I basically want to make the jump from my basic eGo gear to fully rebuildables!

I'm planning on using fasttech, every other place (I can't find any UK based :() doesn't seem safe, and with many mentions of fasttech would rather use these guys (plus free shipping!)

Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod
http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10005773/1448300-nemesis-style-mechanical-mod

What would people go for out of the below?

Russian 91% Styled Rebuildable Atomiser
http://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10006473/1552300

SvoeMesto Kayfun v3.1 S Styled
http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10006473/1494700-svoemesto-kayfun-v3-1-es-styled-rebuildable

If none of the above, can anyone recommend alternatives, plus reputable known coils/wicks? It's all very exciting, this is the next level of vaping for me!

Cheers,
Tommy

I have read good reviews of fasttech to, the main downside is shipping time (especially if you order any batteries) it usually takes between 3-5 weeks to arrive.
i have chosen the same 2 rebuildables you have but with a Vamo V5 and a charger, I have ordered the batteries from the UK for ease of shipping.

Get yourself the Kayfun 3.1 - or the RSST for a very easy Genny.
Whilst you're on Fasttech, grab a Nitecore i4 Intellicharger (they ARE the real McCoy and Nitecore.co.uk will honour the warranty):

And you'll need a UK Power lead:

As for wick & wire, send me a trust message ;)

I ordered a pack of 7 hybrid drip tips and 4 other tips from fasttech on the 2nd feb, shipping ETA was 11th, but now my order says 'restocking' on a couple of those and ready to ship on the others. So nothing shipped yet and I I reckon it'll take ages before I see them. I know they also have a backlog of orders to get through since their recent chinese holidays.

I used my IGO-W for the first time last night. Used the wick and wire sample that came with it. Got it working ok, no shorts at least. lt all flopped out when I remove the cap, lol. I've binned that wick now and washed the IGO and look forward to making a microcoil today with cotton wool. Noticed that there was a small film of protective plastic that I've peeled off the sigelei screen.

Anyway, tried the monkey jizz. I know it needs steeping but it was 'ok'. Bit disappointed tbh. Nothing harsh or chemical, it was fine. But why do custard flavours always taste weird to me. This stuff tastes almost exactly like a milder version of the egg custard tart I have from alchemists cupboard, and I didn't like that either. Pretty much the same but with banana added. Maybe custards just won't work with me, which is a pity. I tried from 3.5 to 4.5v and didn't notice a huge difference, maybe slightly stronger throat hit and flavour at higher voltage but there wasn't a strong throat hit overall. Perhaps the airholes on the IGO-W needs to be bigger, though I didn't feel it was difficult getting a draw from it as I'd expected.

Cheers man, will do.

As for mech mod, nemesis or vamo v5? (Had a look following i5aces post, looks shexy ;))

The nemesis is a Mech mod but the Vamo is a VV/VW mod, some people go for mech mods for the ability to do low/sub ohm coils and because they are generally smaller and sometimes look better, but there is no protection and the voltage output drops as the battery dies.
with a VV/VW mod the mod checks the ohm's of the coil and checks for shorts ( so no need for a ohm checker and no chance of blowing up the battery with a short) the voltage or wattage can be adjusted and stays the same until the battery cant output the power anymore, I find i like some flavours at a lower power setting than others and you dont get that option with a mech mod.

I would have a look round at the pro's & con's of both then decide what suits you better

He could also go mech mod with a kick, best of both worlds if you are worried about your mod "blowing up" and want regulated VV vaping.
Me personally I would just get the mech, 15w limit on the vamo, pft. Get a mech, with the right sub-ohm coil they go to 11. (I have to explain my lame Spinal Tap joke in the honor of saftey.) Yes, a mech with the correct safe batteries for sub ohm vaping and your scope is miles better than the limited Vamo.
I would wait for Fasttech to get the DNA's before you bother with VV/VW.

My advice would be the opposite (with all respect to jmc007) - go for the VW and then you have a bit more flexibility and forgiveness whilst you learn to rebuild. If you mess up a Coil "slightly" and are at 3.8ohms, the Vamo will be able to accommodate it. You mech however, would take forever to ramp up.

Different sides of the coin, neither more right or wrong than the other - although the Vamo gives you a much needed Ohm Reader.

Batteries though - I keep recommending the Samsung INR18650-15Q ( 18A Rated ) from [email protected]. £10.75 per pair, delivered. Gives you room to sub-ohm to 0.35ohm, without spending the extra on the excellent(but unnecessary when starting out) 30A or the useless Efest 35A, but mean you won't need to buy new batteries when you do decide to go full Mechanical.

Just got my Samsung INR 20a today https://www.fasttech.com/products/1443728, shipped on 22/1. $10.51 a pair.

What coil was trying to be built hypothetically when you came out out at 3.8 ohms? Even when I first started out the furthest I was out on building any coil was .2 or .3.
Here is the ohm reader on FT.

I just see the vamo as a waste of money? You got one Red? I had two and realised they are pretty useless in getting the vape I desire and sold them within a week or two.

I do not know many people who have been vaping a while who settle under 15w.

*Edit. If the worry is margin for error whilst learning, surely the kick would do that? Again personally I see the Kicks as a waste of money with their 12w limit.

*Re-edit. Quick look about and seems plenty enjoy vaping well under 15w, I must be an extreme nobhead, I mean vaper. :D
Still mech all day for me.

Excellent info here if you have the time.

Marzipan flavour

Brave man. :D Marzipan flavour? :p

I did try House of Liquids Cigare de Paris which is an almond tobacco vape was very nice really.

Hah, I adore marzipan. :) Was £6 with postage. How it will be as a vape is another question, but can't be worse than my experience with custard so far.
And you must watch this review of the battenburg, he can't speak highly enough of it.

Hi, im after a bit of advice please guys!

I have been vaping since 1st October 2013 (not had a ciggie since, woot go me lol). I have used my Evod every day and just alternated the battery each day. I usually go though 1 tank per day.

I have found recently that I cant taste any flavour no matter what liquid I use (if i get a new one i can taste it the first few goes but then its gone). I have bought many new coils (i think thats what they are called, the little inserts with the string stuff in them lol).

It also takes me longer to get a full drag, and the coils only last like 3 days before I cant even get a drag out of them.

Am I missing something as I thought new coils would last longer?
