Is OcUK banned at your workplace?

I can get the OcUK shop ok from work, just haven't tried the forums but I think forums will be ok too. However, our IT dept audits every URL, so they can quite easily trace me to being Monserrat on OcUK. Then because everyone writing "lolislam" or "Islam≠race" or "I like bacon" on Facebook automatically gets the sack and goes to jail, the same will happen to me as I'm not the most PC poster :p So yeah, any forum logins, I tend not to associate with my work's PC.

because your IT dept has left some of the quite high default scoring rules in place of that particular brand of filter :D
 
Occasionally something crops up and I can't access certain threads, funniest one being for a while I couldn't access the photography subforum with the reason being "Games or Game related" but could access the console section no problem :D Only real downside for accessing at work though is all the big picture hosting sites are blocked so ruins quite a few threads :(

Being the IT person always helps getting passed blocks put in place :)

And I always have remote desktop back to my home PC if at a clients where filtering is in place.
 
I wouldn't have thought this would even be an issue with everyone having such prevalent access to tethering/mobile data.

I don't control the web gateway here, but if it ever was blocked I've got a secondary fibre line that's unrestricted.
 
NHS in Stoke here and virtually everything is blocked.
We can get Argos and Stoke Sentinel and that's about it for nothjing medical.
Sometimes I need to look up medical words and I can usually get onto a medical related site.
 
I think this is a pretty clean forum so it doesn't get flagged up as inappropriate on block lists. That's why mods need to be strict with swearing and inappropriate images being posted up. Too much of that will see OCUKFourm put on the 'Fat swearing perverts' List next to the 'What the **** did i just read/Look at' list that 4Chan sits on.

This was the case with a another forum I used to go on, anyway.
 
Work from home so no, but I have considered using a program to block it that can only be bypassed by restarting the computer/connection.

See, websites flagged as 'entertainment' get knocked off by our filter. Which is weird, because GD is entertaining as ****.
