I used to sign up to loads of beta passes with the intention of trying them and then never bothering to enter them. I would've signed up for this too despite not owning an XB1 (just couldn't be arsed).

It's a beta. The world will not end if you can't get in.

Times change, technology evolves, this generation 1080P was expected to be the norm as it has been the TV standard for several years now, hell even Freeview HD channels are broadcast in 1080i.

I saw one of those old samsung xbox demo screens the other day, the one with the kind of V shaped bezel at the bottom, my god it was so ugly and such a sign of how far LCD have come in the 360's lifetime :D

My concern has always been the AI, do AI kills count towards kills total or streaks etc, if so that's ****.

Why not, worth registering if on impulse he then bought one he's good to go. If not he's lost nothing and could gift it to someone who didn't roll their eyes at him :p (I don't have one and I'm not after it so I don't care) :D

But what do you gain from entering the beta if you can't even play it?

At the time I figured I'd have the console by the time it started. Anyway, I didn't register in the end. Past alphas/betas have generally given me negative impressions of games so I don't bother with them at all now. Think the last one I tried was BF3. Years ago though when I mainly gamed on PC I used to sign up for loads.
 
Ah bugger, I signed up as soon as it went live on both my xbox accounts and origin accounts. No code here, just as I have a week off too.
Was looking forward to trying this on the Xbox! looks so fun!

From watching the preview videos I know getting a kill reduces the time it takes for you to get a Titan(everybody has a 2 minute count down from when the game starts) and AI kills count in this.
 
Think I read about the controller getting an update in time for the launch as they felt it was a bit "twitcy", wonder how that effects other games.

Then I predict that will suck :D It's a game wrecker when AI kills count or people exploit them. Look at Gears I used to actively target the bots to win matches by a mile.

Bots should not be in a MP game, unless training modes, combat training etc
