It's the the jacket that heats me up (Rapha Rain Jacket), it's my Endura Stealth waterproof bibs.

Brilliant in the rain. Horrible in the dry (ok that's not true, but they do get sweaty).

How waterproof are the stealth bibs? I've started using Sportful No-Rain leg warmers + bib shorts for wet rides and they seem decent enough, but they are are still only water resistant.

Sunday forecast looks awesome. I'm so going for a 70+ miler!

Completely. Longest I've ridden is about an hour and a half. Some sweat but no rain penetration.

Mine are the Stealthlite bibs. They are padless, which I like.

Sorry! Geriatric bike! ;)

That's why first choice was a Secteur, however I couldn't get one at the right price with a decent double groupset.

The Roubaix had the group I wanted but was too pricy.

It may look odd, but i'm not in a bad position on the bike.

Aiming for a 90 degree angle on the hoods.
Fair enough - depends how you ride and how much aero tuck you want at the end of the day. Was it you with the fused disc? I have a herniated disc at the base of my spine but I don't have a problem with a lot of saddle to bar drop. As long as the proportions of the bike are good for me (I ride quite a short bike) then I can get away with quite a lot of drop because it doesn't curve my spine. On yours, I'd try flipping the stem over to get a good compromise.

So fed up of the rain now :(
Tell me about it. View from my bedroom window day before yesterday:

The water was a fair way down from there this morning which is comforting, because it means all this rain has somewhere to go before it comes in the house.

Yes, I have fused lumbar #5 and a herniated disc in my upper back before my neck.

I've given up on running and the gym as a result and returned to cycling.

Just been on a wet windy test ride on the Allez, It felt strange having such a tight head angle at first, the front wheel right under me, however it handles very well and corners well despite poor road conditions.

No issues with toe overlap.

The frame is surprisingly compliant and I enjoyed riding it.

Sora groupset is the absolute lowest I would ever want to go, it works well, but feels clunky and un refined.

So in a predicament and thought it would be an easy choice but have a grand to spend on cycle to work, and my mind was made up on a Cube Peleton Race. However the Hoy Sa Colabra 003 is taking my fancy as well now.

Also my head has been turned by some of the carbon offers from Dolan and Planet X but reckon you are sacrificing a bit to get a carbon frame. Anything else I may have missed out on ? There is the Trek Madone as well, not too keen on the Giant Defy which gets much love, it too similar to my current Giant SCR 2 and I had to slam the stem on that!

Anything to throw in there ?
