Got one myself - brings my total game collection to ....2 :D so im happy :) lol
 
I grasp that the 3DS XL does not accompany a mains charger as standard, but does it not include a USB cable at the very least? Surely a means of charging the device should be included? Especially when you pay such an exorbitant premium for the XL.
 
The reasoning was that the 3DS XL was unlikely to be someone's first DS device so they'd already have a charge cable. Then they could keep the cost down somewhat. I personally think it was sound reasoning.

Surely those chargers don't cost ninty £6 a pop?

Except if said owner had a DS or DS Lite, then their charger is different whereas the DS XL charger fits. Not sure on DSi as I've never had one

Been looking around for some games and atm ganestop arw offering an 8gb SD card with select games - zelda,pokemon,fire emblem to name a few - they mostly seem to be the rrp but might be worth a look
 
Bought myself fire emblem from gamestop online sunday. Game anf free* 8gb sd card arrived today - let.the gaming commemce.
 
Anyone else had their Mario DX codes yet? I registered 4 consoles at the same time (on 4 different email addresses) and only had 1 code come through so far :(
 
Since the 3DS is coming to a few years old now, what Technology would a new Nintendo Handheld system look like and perform?

They must have already started creating one now as it takes a few years from the first design to releasing to the public..

I would imagine they could do some amazing things now with graphics.

FE by some distance.

I've just finished Bravely Default and it really goes downhill in the second half. I don't mind a bit of grinding but chapters 5-8 are essentially identical, you repeat a sequence of events 4 times (with some optional sub-quests which are just previous bosses but in groups of 2, 3 and 4 at a time). The number of actual locations is pretty small too and the option to turn off random encounters, whilst welcome, seems to acknowledge that you will be trudging through some areas almost a dozen times before the credits roll.

Throw in some ridiculously cheap end game bosses (the highlight being one who can disable commands with no way to remove the effect), a main villain thrown in 10 minutes from the conclusion and and I really struggle to see why it has scored so highly. If I hadn't bought it digitally then I'd have sold it halfway through chapter 6.

On the upside, there is a cool video if you can stick it long enough to get the "true" ending.
