What do people think of the Nation v Nation battles?

I've had 4 so far Brit v Russian, USA, USA and Germany. Got mullered by the Russians, beat the USA with a sneaky cap, lost against the next against the USA and Germany.

Early days but i do think the Brits are at a disadvantage.

idle at start for about a minute, but popped into life as soon as red tanks appeared, didn't seek cover just drove up a sand dune and started firing.

Reported, but I'm assuming with 100K of these things that nothing is ever done?

next game, another tank, exactly the same pattern, same unawareness of flanking.

The MM tends to be silly. I've been grinding the AT15. Had to Nation v nation battles.

First was v Ruskies - We had 13 AT15s and 3 Carnarvens. They had 12 ISU-152 and 3 IS3s

They walked it. Their alpha was just monstrous. Spotted 4 BL10s hit you.

Next was 14 AT15s vs Germans so Ferdis and JPanther IIs - again their alpha just nailed it.

Brits have no brawlers so lose by default unless they get long range spots in.

Not convinced so far seems to result in stupid numbers of the same tank. Turned it off.
 
Had my first confrontation last night during a platoon with zoombabup in his Persing, and me and Jparko in our T69's.

Our USA team was largely made up of M103's and T34's. The MM seemed a decent spread of tanks to give it credit, not like the 15x Hellcat matches I have seen. We were against Russian Obj's, ISU152's and IS3's etc. We just managed to scrape through and won it in the end. Very closely matched game.

Despite queueing as all Cromwells, or all Centurion 1's we didnt get any other Confrontations.
 
I love Windows.... 4 crap games tonight, the 5th is looking good. Just punched through the middle in my E-100, awesome flanking about to commence, and Windows 8 restarts for updates (despite being told not to earlier). :(
 
So come one then, will somebody give me some tips on how to get a crew to 100%? I paid to get them to 75%, yet despite a pretty decent win and kill ratio they're still only sat on 78% two weeks later, and this is in a tank with the 'Accelerated Crew Training' option ticked. No matter what I do, win, lose or draw, kill loads or kill none, nothing seems to advance the training. So I get a bit bored and buy a tank in the next tier only to find that I have to start the same old slog over and over again for each tank. Surely this can't be right. What am I doing wrong?

Two weeks means nothing.

You need to put in a lot of battles and that's really just it, that and getting good scores each fight.
 
If you look on one of your crews personnel file you can see how much xp is left to get to the next % point, if you wait till it ticks over to the next full point and check again you'll be able to work out how much xp/games to get to 100%

7000ish XP per % point I think..?
Cant remember exactly, getting from 75% to 90% I didn't find took much time at all. 90%-100% takes longer.

TBH a good crew is a lot more useful in higher tiers than lower ones anyway so at this stage it's not something I'd worry too much about.

Watch some videos about camouflage mechanics, Google the 'best' tanks by tier and unlock them. Find the play style you like: TDs can be played very differently to heavies, for example. Try to ignore the Eurotrash.

Take your time at the lower levels, don't be in a rush to get to high tier vehicles or you'll soon be out of your depth. Learn the strengths of your tank, read the wiki or forums, they can help and learn weak spots in your own time.

Above all just relax and don't get stressed out. Silly things happen from time to time but do your best to not let them get to you and you'll get better fast if you learn from them rather than assume the game is broken .
