Really? are we still going through the quite ridiculous vram argument again ?

I can guarantee if you took a 770 2gb against a 770 4gb in that game the differences will be negligible. Time and time and time again its proven more frame buffer doesnt mean better performance or that you actually need it. You guys are a marketing dream.

Shame they don't show the fps of the GTX 770 2gb vs 280x 3gb at say 2500x 1600 at 'insane' detail?

People thought 1GB was enough for Crysis 1 too, but the game was stuttering down to 1-2fps when it ran out of vram at some scenes. Pray that it won't be the case for Titanfall for the 2GB cards users...

But if that does happen, worse case scenerio is that they'd have to play the game without AA to drop the memory usage that's all...it's not the end of the world. I doubt people with 280x or 770 or lower cards would be using max settings anyway if they want high enough frame rate for competitive play.

Testing conducted memory consumed game program MSI Afterburner. Were taken as an indication of the results on the top graphics cards from AMD and NVIDIA at resolutions of 1920x1080 and 2560x1600 with different settings smoothing.

Testing at maximum quality settings memory GPU "High" Texture Resolution

tb vram

Use recommended amount of memory for 1920x1080 resolution would be 2048 MB VRAM for 2560x1600 - 2048 MB of video memory and to enable more 3840h2160 2048 MB VRAM. Oddly enough, the game uses at different resolutions very close memory.

Testing at maximum quality settings memory GPU "Insane" Texture Resolution

tb vram i

Use recommended amount of memory for 1920x1080 resolution would be 3076 MB VRAM, for resolution 2560x1600 - 3076 MB VRAM and for permission 3840h2160 3076 MB VRAM. At this time the consumption of video memory, NVIDIA appeared unchanged.

So 1920x1080 needs 3GB with insane settings and 4K resolution needs 3GB with insane settings..... Next!

Those graphs really don't look right to me I saw a 280x on insane details at 4k resolution hitting 40fps. Can we really expect that from a next gen game that is only in beta? Even on high settings it was hitting over 45fps. Even the 770 with only 2gb of Vram was hitting over 40fps at 4k resolution on high settings. Either this game is really easy to play or those graphs are not right.

from the youtubes ive seen the game looks nothing special either lol.

It is impressive how generic it looks. It's like someone looked at CoD and thought: 'do you know what this needs? More jumping.'

It will be interesting to see which turns out to be more exciting: playing Titanfall or discussing Titanfall's VRAM requirements.

I would think the Vram provokes a more heated debate. The game just looks awful LOL.

It always does because the GTX 690 and GTX 770 only have 2GB of vRam ^^^^^

Is this game limited to 60 FPS?

I think the usage for the 4K res is capped at 3000 ish because the 280x and GTX780s only have 3GB of vram.

Yer and I would like to see how a 770 2GB gets on. I can see close to 5GB on Crysis 3 but there is a fair amount of caching going on and I imagine the same thing with TitanFall.
