This may come across as a strange question but i will be moving house in the next 2 weeks and i have a fully watercooled system. Will i need to drain the system before packing my PC or will it be sturdy enough as i dont want it leaking in transit. It will be stored in the original box that my case came in (inc polystyrene).

If everything is secure inside the case just check everything is tight you could put some kitchen roll round fittings + res use some tape to keep in place and just strap it in a car seat upright and drive carefully.

At new house check for leaks if all good fire her up.

If anything leaks make good and give it a going over with a hair dryer for a few minute's put in warm place leave for a while check again if all good your ready to go.

Done it myself a few time's, even with my own and my rad is external 560 rad l just wrapped that up in bubble wrap. Placed it upright on backseat of car with rad lying securely beside it.

Jusr drive carefully.
