La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 - Season 2013-2014 Discussion

If it stays this close, Barca vs Atletico(or the other way around) final game of season, could be an epic finish. Hoping but not really expecting, someone will likely drop points between now and then. Atletico picked up that nasty neck injury for the guy last week. Tough tough champs league games to come for them, squad wise I don't think they can keep it going and Barca have Neymar back, who scored a cracker, and Messi's form is becoming more hit than miss and hasn't looked at all worried by injury. Doesn't mean he won't do his hammy again, they aren't protecting him much in that sense.

Would be brilliant if it went to that final game though.

Real 2-0 up already inside 30 minutes against Getafe. Looks like they will end the day on 60 points.

Have you ever seen a table like this before?

Both Madrid sides even have the same GD.

In the event of a tie La Liga is decided on head to head record rather than GD over the season. The last game of the season could be incredibly important!

Great finish and well made goal to make it 2-1 for Sociedad.

Sociedad/Barca league games have been great for a couple years, Sociedad have won/drawn with them which just makes them confident enough to get at Barca, and with Barca's defence that usually means goals at both ends.

Wow, what a run, what a ball, completely took out Barca's defence with that. Great little touch to take it into the goal around the keeper.

Can't see Sociedad getting fourth, long season with Europe and getting to the semi final of the cup. With Villa/Bilbao both having easier seasons in terms of other competitions. Be good if Sociedad get just outside of Europe this season and those other teams having Europe next year will give them another great run to the top 4 for the year after. Europa every year is no where near as valuable to them as champs league every couple years.

Song both scoring an own goal and terrible defensively throughout, Fabregas though is really their best midfielder by a huge margin this year, might be too late though.

Messi is a very different player since he came back, he's been WAY less involved throughout a game, getting goals but he'll be on the fringes of a game and get a goal from nowhere rather than driving Barca forward with both everything going through him and him making chance after chance after chance.
