What an episode. I'm not going to Chernobyl this year (a group of our team are going in the summer) but definitely want to go next year. Even more so after watching this.

Enjoyed that. Not a fan of James Blunts music but would rather hear someone say exactly what they think rather than listen to robots sit there and say what their PR companies want them to say each week. Great final piece as well

They could have made a special out of that trip IMO, it was far too rushed and a massive anti climax. I was expecting a good piece about Chernobyl but instead they gloss over it and disappear. Was looking forward to that for ages only to be disappointed.

Were the people not rehoused after the disaster? I thought when the Soviet Union collapsed, people ended up owning the apartments they were living in.

Some people were rehoused with family. Some were actually just driven to a random town and dumped with no help.

That may be true but numbers are thriving is I think the point. There were no bears left in Ukraine before the accident and now the zone has quite a few of them.

It's crazy when you are in the zone, you can hear so much wildlife.

Probably all the wildlife dying a horrible death thanks to mankind's hubris

Anyway, pretty poor episode of TG. Another stupid super car review, another posh prat is SIARPC and a road trip emphasising how boring the Ukraine is.
