Hey there,

I can't get this to work at all, It's really baffling me... I've found the F_USB30_1 header on the motherboard, but what am I meant to connect to it?? My case is a Corsair 600t, but it only has one USB 3 on the front and that's just an extension to round the back of the case into a USB 3.0 port.

Do I need some cable or something to get this to work?

Cheers

some cases have a cable that fits the usb3 motherboard socket, yours just uses an extension that plugs in at the back, same thing just different cable

Can you not just wire it around to the back? If not look for a USB port to header adapter which should allow you to put it into the header

It all works when it's routed through to the rear and plugged into the usb 3 port. The Corsair 600t front USB 3 is just an extension. I need to be able to plug into my usb 3 header on the motherboard so that I can take advantage of the On/Off charge 2 that Gigabyte boards have.

The issue isn't being able to connect the front USB 3 extension cable into the back of my case, it's taking advantage of the On/Off charge 2 via the the onboard header (apparently it needs to be connected here for it to work).

Ahh now I understand, then that cable is what you need and plug the case extender into it instead of the rear usb3

Hmm, I thought On/Off Charge worked through extension cables, must be wrong, though it seems to work on my UD3H - I'll have a check later, get back to you

From what I've read up on, it needs to be connected to the the red F_USB30_1 header on the motherboard for it to work. As my Corsair 600t only has the one front male USB 3 extension, I can't do this. The above USB 3.0 internal adapter cable could work though.
